Scientists put kids through 100 hours of reading, then scanned their brains. New wiring had physically grown inside the language regions. Communication between brain areas sped up by a factor of 10. Kids who didn't read showed zero change. That was a 2009 Carnegie Mellon study. It gets wilder. In 2013, Emory University scanned 19 students every morning for 19 straight days while they read one novel chapter each night. Mornings after reading, the brain areas responsible for understanding other people's emotions lit up with new connections. So did the region that processes physical sensation. Their brains were simulating what the characters felt, as if it were happening to them. Those changes stuck around for 5 days after they finished the book. Now flip to scrolling. A massive review published in Psychological Bulletin last September pulled together 71 studies covering 98,299 people. Heavy short-form video use (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) showed a clear pattern: worse attention, weaker self-control, and more anxiety. Consistent across teenagers and adults, across every platform tested. Oxford didn't name "brain rot" its 2024 Word of the Year for nothing. A 2024 brain wave study found that people hooked on short-form video had weaker activity in the front of the brain, the part that controls focus and impulse control. Separate brain scans showed the same thing: heavy scrollers had less activation in the exact regions that deep reading strengthens. UCLA neuroscientist Maryanne Wolf has been studying this for decades. Humans were never born to read. There's no gene for it. Reading is something we invented, and it hijacked neurons that were originally meant for recognizing faces. Over time, it built entirely new brain circuits connecting language, vision, and emotion. But those circuits only survive if you use them. Stop reading, and they fade. Wolf's conclusion is simple: screens built for speed produce a speed-wired brain. Books built for depth produce a depth-wired brain. One honest caveat: most of these studies are snapshots, not long-term tracking. People who already struggle to focus might just prefer short videos. But the same pattern showing up across nearly 100,000 people is hard to shrug off. The tweet repeats the line seven times. The research backs it up with brain scans, EEG data, and white-matter imaging across tens of thousands of people.

My daughter, Aubrynn, was 17 years old. She was selected for a school trip from July 9 to July 22. The vaccine was mandatory for the trip. She was the only one in our family who received it, despite our pleas not to. She was vaccinated on June 7 and again on June 28, 2022. She left for her trip, and on July 18 she texted me that she did not feel well. We did not hesitate. We immediately drove from Michigan to New York to bring her home. We arrived the next day, which was also our three year old’s birthday. We celebrated with cake and ice cream. Later that night, Aubrynn and I shared some soup together before she went to bed. The next morning, I took her to urgent care. We waited for hours. At one point, she managed to sit up and quietly asked me, “Did they call me yet?” Before we even understood what was happening, my daughter collapsed from cardiac arrest. She was airlifted to Children’s Hospital. She was placed on an ECMO machine and treated with Remdesivir. Her body began shutting down. Her limbs turned black from lack of blood flow. Infections spread. Her kidneys failed. On August 6, we were told there was nothing more they could do. We were forced to make the impossible decision to turn off the machines. We had to let our daughter go.

🚨 MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD ALERT 🚨 ALL EYES ON BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMA — TONIGHT 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Tonight is not a routine zoning vote. The Broken Arrow City Council is being asked to approve the next phase of a 15-acre mega-mosque and commercial Islamic campus near the Creek Turnpike and Olive Avenue - sold as “growth” and “community needs,” but structured as a permanent institutional foothold. Here’s what’s happening tonight: 1) This vote is the final gate. The Planning Commission already advanced the project. Tonight’s City Council vote will determine whether it moves forward with the zoning and permits needed to secure long-term expansion. 2) This is a Muslim Brotherhood–linked infrastructure model - not just a building. Across the U.S., this expansion follows the same Brotherhood-aligned pipeline every time: • MSA — youth and leadership incubation • ISNA — national coordination • NAIT — land ownership and permanence • Local mosque entity — public-facing “community” front • CAIR — a political pressure and litigation group that routinely deploys intimidation claims and lawfare when communities challenge Islamic institutional expansion This system was documented in the Muslim Brotherhood’s own internal strategy papers and later entered into evidence in U.S. federal court. 3) The land control is the tell. The property was transferred to NAIT, a national Islamic land trust repeatedly identified in federal terrorism-financing cases and Brotherhood-linked networks. Land under NAIT is not local control - it is a structural lock-in mechanism designed for permanence. 4) Citizens forced a state investigation — and it’s ongoing. The Oklahoma Attorney General announced a multi-agency probe citing concerns that explicitly include Muslim Brotherhood ties. That investigation exists because citizens refused to be silenced. 5) Expect coordinated pressure tactics. When communities push back, the playbook is predictable: • “Islamophobia” smears • weaponized “religious freedom” claims • threats of lawsuits • coordinated turnout to control the narrative - of course, the left-wing radical groups and the liberal media are there! 6) This goes far beyond Broken Arrow. The same networks and methods used to entrench Islamic institutional infrastructure in Florida and Texas are tied to this project’s ecosystem. If it passes quietly, it becomes a blueprint for replication across other red-state cities. Bottom line: Tonight, Broken Arrow decides whether to approve a permanent Muslim Brotherhood–linked institutional system disguised as “just a mosque.” Freedom or Islam — you choose. This vote is not the end - no matter the outcome. The networks stretch farther and deeper than anyone realizes. We are releasing a major exposé in the coming days, revealing just how deep this network runs — and the nefarious actors tied to it. Oklahoma was not chosen by accident. They advance by design - phase by phase, permit by permit - embedding themselves into local systems until reversal becomes impossible. Broken Arrow is the test case. Oklahoma is the target. What happens next depends on whether leaders are willing to act — or look away.

🚨 ANOTHER RED STATE FALLS AS ISLAMIC EXPANSION PUSHES FORWARD - BUT THIS FIGHT IS NOT OVER - WE NEED EVERYONE'S HELP! FULL SPEED AHEAD: OKLAHOMA JUST TOOK A MAJOR STEP TOWARD ISLAMIZATION Tonight in Broken Arrow, the illusion collapsed. After four-plus hours of overwhelming public opposition, after hundreds of residents filled the chamber and overflow rooms, after 144 submissions AGAINST the project and only SIX in favor, the Planning Commission advanced it anyway. This was not consensus. There was no “community support.” This was a systemic override! Islamic expansion in Oklahoma is no longer theoretical. It is no longer “coming.” It is happening now. 🚨 THE PEOPLE SPOKE. THE MACHINE MOVED FORWARD. Oklahomans did exactly what civic engagement demands. They showed up. They spoke respectfully. They brought facts, maps, math, zoning analysis, traffic impacts, infrastructure limits, and long-term consequences. They were ignored. The Commission voted to recommend approval of: 🔺Rezoning 15 acres from agricultural to commercial 🔺A conditional use permit for a massive mosque and retail complex 🔺A 38,000+ sq. ft. phased development with 700 parking spaces All while admitting: Traffic studies are incomplete Drainage and utilities unresolved Septic near major creek systems Single two-lane ingress/egress And still - it moved forward! 🚨 FOLLOW THE LAND. FOLLOW THE TRUST. FOLLOW THE PATTERN. The land is owned by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) — repeatedly linked to large mosque developments across Texas and other red states. Quiet land purchase. Years of fundraising. Zoning change. “Place of assembly.” Political pressure follows. This is not organic growth. This is infrastructure expansion, with longstanding allegations of alignment with Muslim Brotherhood–linked networks. Tonight, Oklahoma stepped into the same trap Texas ignored until it was too late. 🚨 THIS IS HOW COMMUNITIES ARE OVERRIDDEN Facts were dismissed as “emotions.” Concerns about scale, traffic, schools, tax base, and permanent land use were waved away. That is the playbook: Dismiss opposition. Hide behind process. Approve first. Deal with consequences later. By then, nothing can be undone. 🚨 THIS IS NOT OVER - AND THIS COMMUNITY WILL NOT STAND ALONE This now moves to the Broken Arrow City Council. This is the line. From here forward, every elected official owns the outcome. RAIR will continue covering this fight and stand with this community. - They showed up. They spoke clearly. They did their part. Now WE MUST do everything we can to support this community! Now the question is simple: Will Oklahoma’s leaders stand with the people, Or surrender another community, one zoning vote at a time? Expansion does not pause. But it can still be stopped - if action is taken now

Today, we had the honor of presenting Samantha with a Citation of Recognition from the Oklahoma House of Representatives, District 98, for her steadfast convictions, her commitment to speaking from a foundation of truth, and her courage in shining a light on serious concerns within Oklahoma’s higher education system. In a moment when social media and traditional media are flooded with misinformation, this story has drifted far from what actually occurred. Today, we were able to hear directly from Samantha herself, and she walked us through the real events in her own words. With all the political noise and media distractions set aside, the truth was finally able to stand on its own.

When I was a child, my sister and I both suffered severe third- and fourth-degree burns in an accident. Doctors wanted to shave my sister’s head and graft skin from it to cover the burns on her leg — a procedure that would have left her permanently scarred and deeply traumatized. But my mother, drawing from her studies at the School of Natural Healing, sought a different path. Through faith, prayer, and natural treatment, the burns on both my sister and me were healed — saving our family thousands in medical bills and avoiding unnecessary hospital stays. Years later, my father was diagnosed with skin cancer on his chin. Again, doctors recommended cutting it out and repeating the process as it spread, which would have caused permanent disfigurement. Once more, my mother turned to her God-given wisdom and knowledge of natural remedies. Using a black herbal salve, the cancer was drawn out and destroyed. My father has been completely healed ever since. Even when medical professionals couldn’t explain the results — and when OKDHS was mentioned in a threatening manner for pursuing alternative care — my mother stood firm in her convictions. Thank God she trusted her instincts and followed the guidance of the Holy Spirit to protect and heal her family. We do not co-parent with the government.

🚨ALERT: A new peer-reviewed paper in the American Sociological Association's official journal Sex & Sexualities calls for the elimination of the idea of childhood sexual innocence and the social/ethical taboos against children engaging in sex acts.🚩 The authors lament that most scholarship "marginalizes childhood sexual pleasure" and views children as “vulnerable subjects." They argue that we must "interrogate dominant narratives of sexual innocence that suppress young people's desires" and instead recognize how children "negotiate pleasure and meaning amid intersecting hierarchies of age, race, gender, and class." They reject what they call "adult-centric/adultist approaches to sexualities" and insist that "childhood pleasure is indispensable for an inclusive sociology and just sexual futures." It is hard to read this as anything other than laying the intellectual groundwork for dismantling age-of-consent protections. The central theme of the paper is "pleasure." This aligns with trends in international sex education policy, particularly the International Planned Parenthood Federation's Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) program, which explicitly shifted away from sex education centered around reproduction and toward what it calls "sexual expression, sexual fulfillment, and pleasure." Pleasure is one of seven core elements of CSE. Its Youth Policy, applying to "all young people irrespective of their age," declares a "right to pleasure" and "the right of all young people to enjoy sex and express their sexuality in the way that they choose." It is therefore no surprise that the paper's authors frame the very notion of childhood sexual innocence as a barrier to progress. They are saddened that "preadolescent children's erotic capacities are routinely pathologized." They argue that the "notion of childhood sexual innocence" is a harmful social construct that wrongly portrays children as "vulnerable to and in need of protection from sexuality." In their telling, "operating from the presumption of innate (sexual) innocence" leads scholars and the public to "overlook children's everyday pleasures" and attempt to "banish childhood sexuality altogether." They even go so far as to describe childhood sexual innocence as a "colonial fiction." The fact that such arguments now appear in a flagship journal of the American Sociological Association should alarm everyone. As we repeatedly see, what begins as abstract theorizing in niche corners of academia rarely stays there. It trickles down into education, policy, and culture. Read my full, in-depth write up of this paper below. 🔗realityslaststand.com/p/sociology-jo…

This is something that we need to be paying attention to and praying about. America is a nation founded on Christian principles and it is governed by the people for which the government was designed to serve. People have the free will to partake in religion, but Oklahoman’s have the authority to peacefully determine how things influence our state.
