I was banned from Twitter 1.0 for 2.5 years and was told that I would never be let back on the platform. When Elon Musk took over the company in 2022, I was reinstated right after President Trump. I will never complain about 𝕏 Payouts. I’m thankful just to be able to post here. While monetization is a nice bonus, I posted here before the program existed and haven’t changed anything about how I’ve posted after. 5 years ago, the discussion was “Twitter might ban me if I post this” and now it’s “𝕏 isn’t paying me enough to post” — I think we’re in a much better place if that’s the level of complaint. There is also active dialogue between 𝕏 employees and users publicly on the platform. That didn’t happen at Twitter 1.0. Love to see continued changes to improve 𝕏.

I posted here for fifteen years for $0.00. We posted through weapons-grade, government facilitated deplatforming, deboosting and shadow bans. When you complained, the owners of Twitter would laugh at you and then work with the FBI to target you. This happened to my account. We have the documents to prove it. The owners of Twitter worked with federal law enforcement to target me for tweeting. Your Twitter could be permanently banned in the blink of an eye. No explanation. Tweet the wrong meme, you may go to jail. Some did. Ask Doug Mackey. If you weren’t around for those days, I really have no interest in your complaining about getting PAID to tweet. We were lucky to survive without a federal indictment. Elon and his team are not perfect. Plenty of room for improvement in the algorithm and dashboard. But at least they’re engaging in good faith transparency to fix the most censorious speech oppressor in history — and you may even get some cash for helping. Twitter is a war zone. Always has been. Those of us with the battle scars from the old days know what @elonmusk has done here is worth far more than a creator payout. And if payouts go to $0, I will continue fighting here.
