I’ve always tried to have medical students on my research projects because I like to mentor, I try to show how cool surgical specialties are, it really helps them for residency applications, and because I didn’t have anyone looking out for me when I was a student.

Yesterday, CVS-Aetna agreed to pay $117.7 million to settle whistleblower claims that they defrauded Medicare by submitting incorrect diagnosis codes to increase their Medicare Advantage payouts.
