That’s not how tariffs work. Tariffs are paid by importing companies at the port of entry not by “American citizens” directly. If refunds are issued, they go back to the entity that legally paid them. Also, the ruling didn’t wipe out all tariffs. It narrowed one emergency authority. Most tariff frameworks (301, 232, anti-dumping) remain intact. So no, $175 billion isn’t some personal check that was stolen from Americans and handed to corporations. This is trade law, not a rebate lottery.

Realizing American citizens paid $175 billion in illegal tariffs and it’s being refunded to companies instead of back to us.
