Too many farmers' markets have started to resemble flea markets. I came to buy local eggs and heirloom tomatoes, not a cutting board shaped like a US state.

Black turnout is off the charts in Georgia this morning. Let’s see if it holds as the day continues.

@4nt1p4tt3rn Almost as if our small monkey brains are making an observation over an almost infinitly small period of time and extrapolating a pattern over the whole of space time based on that one observation

A persistent problem I have with astronomy and astrophysics: "Spacetime is expanding faster than the speed of light. There are large portions of the universe that we will never see, because they have moved so far away, so fast, that their light cone will never catch up to us." coupled with: "The universe is a bit over 14 billion years old. We're now seeing stellar objects that formed just a few hundred thousand years after the Big Bang, when the hydrogen-helium plasma cooled enough to start forming mass." You can't have both. Either we're peering back in time to just after everything sprang into existence, or there's a large part of the universe we'll never witness. One contradicts the other. Either we can potentially observe all that is, or our observable universe is only a potentially small portion thereof. It also amuses me that Hubble was the one who discovered the redshift that led to the expanding universe theory, and his namesake telescope was used to posit our ability to see almost to the beginning of creation.

What’s the best right wing coded movie that was clearly not intended to be for a right wing audience? You’re not allowed to say The Matrix.

Non-runners will never get the Strava tax. The run doesn’t end at 10km. It ends at 10.05km… and you already know why.

A 43-year Harvard study of 130,000 people dropped some major news about your morning coffee. It's more than a stimulant. It's the best way to prevent dementia. There is also one big catch, though. What the JAMA study found: (1/12)

I-16 from Macon, GA to Savannah, GA is one of the most boring drives you’ll ever take. The good news is that until you get to Pooler, GA, you can run about 100 and not have to hit your brakes

Ya know I have an idea: ranking boring stretches of interstate 1. I-95 through South Carolina (exception is over Lake Madison) 2. I-20 in Georgia from Augusta to Lake Oconee 3. I-95 in North Carolina 4. I-95 in Virginia (except near Richmond and DC)

@ShibaCoffeeTea @JoshEakle You can drill your own oil, but as long as you have no export controls and your producers are free to sell their oil anywhere to the highest bidder, you will pay the market price. You’re not “independent” from the laws of economics. Prepare for a political bloodbath in November.
