SUDAN — 🔥 The U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee voted 44-2 to recognize the genocide committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Darfur and urged that the group be designated as a terrorist organization. Such a designation would be a crucial step toward curbing the flow of foreign weapons and countering external actors, such as the #UAE, #Ethiopia, and #Kenya that continue to provide the RSF with military and political support.

We are truly blessed people from such a great civilization, guided by extraordinary leadership that is unmatched and incomparable in kindness, selflessness, honesty, determination, discipline, and motivation. Moreover, these heroes of ours possess unparalleled strength, resilience, integrity, knowledge, and wisdom, wisdom not gained through books or years behind the walls of academic institutions, but through bitter reality, hard-earned experience, and skills acquired from the longest struggle for freedom and independence undertaken by this great civilization. To reclaim its intellectual might and ideological superiority, the children of this great nation, alongside its strategic leaders, paid with blood and sacrifice. Thirty-five years ago, when this great nation, #Eritrea, reclaimed its rightful political and legal place, it immediately began working to install full ownership of its sovereignty in economics, technology, politics, food security, culture, education, military strength, industry, and beyond. The powers that know the strength, integrity, intelligence, spirit, and dedication of this country have left no stone unturned in trying to deprive #Eritrea and its people from reaching their true destiny and restoring their civilization. Their actions hit hard against a people who had already suffered for centuries, especially throughout the last century. Yet, instead of breaking them, it made the leadership and its enlightened people even more steadfast and determined to make it happen. The time has now come for the world to admit that #Eritrea has prevailed. The time has also come for those powers and their subservient forces to accept and acknowledge that the Eritrean people and leadership are not like many others they treated with disrespect, they are not a joke, nor a walk in the park. This award is one of the ramifications of that reality, and we are proud of you, @G_Haile.

H.E. Girmay Haile Huge congratulations on this well-deserved award! Your hard work, dedication, and talent have truly paid off, and it is wonderful to see you recognized for such a fantastic achievement.congratulations we are extremely proud of You 🇪🇷❤️🎉 👏💪🏆 #ERITREA

No power or miracle can save the scrabbling house-of-cards childish regime of 4 Kilo from dying a painful death.
Yemane G. Meskel 🇪🇷@hawelti

Audacity of Potemkin Party minions and their hired apologists is indeed beyond the pale. The PP regime's delusional policies continue to foment, beyond any shred of doubt, unnecessary tension in the region: - Exhibit 1: the illicit MOU that the PP regime signed stealthily with Somaliland in January 2024; - Exhibit 2: the relentless media and diplomatic campaigns, accompanied by incessant saber-rattling, that the regime has unleashed since December 2023 to invade Assab in pursuit of its pipedream of "sovereign access to the sea"; - Exhibit 3: PP's widely reported (Yale University findings etc.) involvement in the conflict in the Sudan whose tentacles and dangerous ramifications (link below) are multi-layered and grave indeed. Still, PP minions and their apologists accuse Eritrea and other countries in the region for "conspiracies... for forming an axis of powers" against Ethiopia. These false flags are too transparent and cannot camouflage the real source and incubator of unnecessary and avoidable tension in the Horn of Africa region. The lofty aspirations of the peoples of the region remain enduring peace and cooperation anchored on respect of each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity; not perennial conflicts to mollify elusive ambitions of hegemony and domination. x.com/AfriMEOSINT/st…

#Eritrea’s Agricultural Development Over the Past 35 Years: Advancements in Water Reservoir Construction and Livestock Development (Part I) by Ermias Solomon - MoA Public Relations Division *"... Over the past 35 years of independence, Eritrea has made remarkable progress in transforming its agricultural sector through sustained investment in water resource development; soil and water conservation, and livestock production. These achievements, realized through the Government’s own efforts and in collaboration with development partners, have played a decisive role in improving food security, strengthening rural livelihoods, and enhancing the resilience of farming communities across the country". *"...As Eritrea celebrates 35 years of independence, these milestones stand as clear evidence of what can be achieved through visionary leadership, community participation, and unwavering national determination. The progress registered over the past three and a half decades provides a solid platform for further advances in agricultural development and for ensuring a more prosperous future for all Eritreans". shabait.com/2026/05/11/eri…

President #Isaias is a leader dedicated to advancing and defending his country. His policies prioritize resilience and self-reliance. Notably, #Eritrea maintains its independence without needing financial assistance from the International Community. I wish more African leaders would follow his footsteps, as Eritrea's core principle emphasizes self-sufficiency, zero reliance on foreign aid and zero corruption.

#Eritrea: Strategic Communication for Narrative Shaping, Prospects for GoE and UN Collaboration; by Yemane G/Meskel (Paraphrased and updated version of a speech made at UN Regional Directors Retreat in Asmara on August 2025) On this memorable month of May - Eritrea's 35th Independence Anniversary - the notorious Conflict Entrepreneurs and detractors seem to have doubled down on their usual vitriol against the country. Reuters and other mainstream media outlets have also joined the defamatory chorus. For instance, Reuters gullibly recycles, in its news analysis of the lifting of US sanctions, discredited and demonizing labels on Eritrea and its government citing the discredited UN Special Rapporteur and US-based Freedom House as credible and authoritative sources in spite of its avowed commitment to 'balance, neutrality and impartiality' as spelled out in its own Standards- "The Thomson Reuters Trust Principles". In a more broader context and as underlined in the speech: *"... The campaign of defamation has its ebbs and flows. It is particularly toxic during certain months of the year of historical significance to Eritrea. These are: i) September, that coincides with the beginning of the Armed Struggle for Liberation; ii) May, our Independence Anniversaries; and, iii) June, the month when we commemorate our Martyrs". *"...The predictable and repetitive patterns of Eritrea-bashing & defamation, has impelled some of us active in Social Media to designate these periods as Eri-Influenza Months". *"...Unfortunately, the worst offenders in this category include some of the politicized agencies in the UN system". *"...The defamatory narrative on Eritrea, often cloaked in demeaning and pejorative labels, is widely recycled by pliant and complicit mainstream media outlets as well as the closed loop of hired lobbyists and Intel Operatives masquerading as experts and pundits on the Horn of Africa region – that we aptly call እፍሊ ሓንጨመንጪ". shabait.com/2026/05/06/str…

THE ENIGMA OF ERITREA May 24 — The Birth That Could Not Be Stopped A Cinematic Essay by Abraham Gebremichael Eritrea… is not a simple story. She is a woman in labor. Not for days. Not for years. For decades. For more than thirty years, she carried a weight that could not be shared, only endured. A labor of land, of people, of identity. A labor that refused to end quietly. And then, May 24, 1991. Not just a date. A moment. A breaking point. A breath after everything that came before it. Because that day was not only victory. It was birth. Around her… the ground had already spoken. Valleys marked by sacrifice. Deserts that held the last footsteps of those who did not return. Her attendants, her sons, her daughters, did not stand beside her. They fell for her. And where they fell, the earth turned red. Not as a symbol, but as truth. This is why the egg must crack. Because nothing that holds life opens without pressure. It resists. It fractures. It breaks in ways that are not clean. Just like Eritrea. But inside that breaking… something unstoppable was happening. May 24, was the moment the shell could no longer hold. The moment the silence gave way. The moment the world was forced to see what had already become inevitable. There is a moment in every birth called crowning. It is not peace. It is intensity. It is the edge between struggle and arrival. For Eritrea, that moment rose in blue, not as comfort, but as confirmation. What was carried would now be seen. And then, yellow. The return. Not of individuals, but of a people. A people who refused to disappear. Who stepped back onto their land not as shadows, but as owners. And finally, white. Not silence. Witness. The sound of guns not to destroy, but to declare: It is done. A nation is born. But May 24, was never the end. Because birth is not completion. It is responsibility. Eritrea did not emerge perfect. No nation does. But it emerged real. Carried through fire. Held together by memory. Guarded by sacrifice. And so every year, when May returns, it does not ask us to celebrate lightly. It asks us to remember deeply. Because this birth was not given. It was fought for. Paid for. Carried through unimaginable pain. The martyrs are not behind us. They are within this moment. Within this date. Within every May 24 that we continue to reach. So when we stand in this month, we are not looking back. We are standing inside the moment that changed everything. Eritrea is still that mother. Still carrying. Still protecting. Still building. And we, we are the life she brought forward. To our martyrs: You did not fall into silence. You became the reason a nation could speak without fear. And every May 24, we do not just remember you. We live because of you. Glory to our martyrs. Strength to our people. #Eritrea

#Eritrea's 35th Independence Anniversary will be celebrated under the fitting theme: "Our Resilience: Our Guarantee". The mantra is indeed a perfect epitome for the odyssey/historical trajectory of two Eritrean generations - the Yikaalo and Warsai generations - who had to summon and display unparalleled heroism and resilience and who were compelled to pay, in the process, precious sacrifices to ascertain and later protect their inviolable rights of decolonization and nationhood. Indeed, the small nation had to endure and suffer under stifling and over-arching geopolitical calculus of major powers in the 1940s to be entangled in a bogus "Federal Arrangement" that soon degenerated into blatant annexation; conduct Africa's longest armed struggle for liberation after all its legal and peaceful pleas for redress were utterly ignored; face, in the aftermath of independence, imposed wars of destabilization against its sovereignty and territorial integrity; and, grapple with associated hostilities including unwarranted sanctions as well as subtle subterfuges of "strategic depopulation", unremitting defamation, etc. ርዝነት ናጽነትና እምበኣር ብዝሓለፎ ከቢድን መዘና-ኣልቦን ጉዕዞ'ዩ ዝትመን!

Profile Q & A - “My Dream is to See #Eritrea Become the Biotech Country of Africa”:  An Interview with Dr. Medhanie Marikos Inspiring and visionary professional pledge to contribute to nation-building; a commendable pledge that epitomizes the Diaspora's established practices and unparalleled commitment to serve their nation and people in various ways. "...Like every Eritrean family, mine struggled for Eritrea’s independence. Since my youth, I have carried the dream of contributing my part to the nation-building process. This means bringing the scientific knowledge I gained in the U.S. back home to Eritrea and adapting it to help my fellow nationals grow. Every time I learn about the history of our struggle and the heavy price paid for it, I am inspired to replicate that same victory in science and technology by applying the iconic principles of self-reliance, dedication, and sacrifice. Ultimately, my dream is to see Eritrea become the Biotech country of Africa". shabait.com/2026/03/12/my-…
