But priority on # per day administrations feels like a small collateral win. Maybe better in-hospital PO conversion can help this?

I think we have to be accustomed to using objective data like these that aren’t RCTs in the ID space, or we practice decades delayed.

Another week, another example of premature diagnostic closure for "UTI" causing a near miss for something else. If anything needs to be better taught in hospital medicine, it is UTI (or lack thereof)

Advice I gave a resident today: Don’t assume the number of comments (feedback) you get from preceptors corresponds to a “bad” job done. It’s not always linear. What is pretty linear, however, is how much feedback you get vs how much your preceptors care about & believe in you.

NO ONE (not even full grown clinical specialists, guideline writers, professors) gets documents, project, presentations perfect on the first try. If you got zero edits, you should frankly be worried they gave up on you. Feedback = we know you can do it!
