Ukraine has been winning back territory the last 3 months. It is wrong for the Administration to push Ukraine to give land not in Russian control to Russia as part of a peace agreement. This is appeasement and rewards the invader. What happened at Sudetenland in 1938?

I opposed Trump's war against Iran. There was no imminent threat to the US. All other means of achieving US objectives were not exhausted. He did not consult with Congress. But if Trump's war produces democracy in Iran, permanent nuclear and missile disarmament & the end of support for terrorists forever, I will praise him.

The conflict in the Middle East has gone too far. My message to the US & Israel is that it’s high time to end the war – as human suffering deepens, civilian casualties mount & the global economic impact is increasingly devastating. My message to Iran is to stop attacking their neighbors that are not parties to the conflict.

Trump is the kiss of death: latest Median poll in Hungary shows the opposition now have a huge 23 point lead on Orban. Looks like they will get a 2/3 majority and Orban is going to jail.

(Reuters) - At least 40% of Russia's oil export capacity is at a halt following Ukrainian drone attacks, a disputed attack on a major pipeline and the seizure of tankers, according to Reuters calculations based on market data. The shutdown is the most severe oil supply disruption in the modern history of Russia, the world's second largest oil exporter, and has hit Moscow just as oil prices exceeded $100 a barrel due to the Iran war. Russia's oil output is one of the main sources of revenue for the national budget and is central to the $2.6 trillion economy. UKRAINE HAS INCREASED ATTACKS Ukraine intensified drone attacks on Russia's oil and fuel export infrastructure this month, hitting all three of Russia's major western oil export ports, including Novorossiysk on the Black Sea and Primorsk and Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea. According to Reuters calculations, about 40% of Russia's crude oil export capabilities - or around 2 million barrels per day, were shut as of Wednesday after the most recent attack. That includes Primorsk and Ust-Luga as well as the Druzhba pipeline, which runs through Ukraine to Hungary and Slovakia. Kyiv has also targeted pipeline oil pumping stations and refineries. Kyiv says it aims to diminish Moscow's oil and gas revenue, which accounts for around a quarter of Russia's state budget proceeds, and weaken its military might. Russia says the Ukrainian strikes are terrorist attacks and has tightened security across its 11 time zones.

@OpusVI1 @markomihkelson @edwardlucas NATO has troop and planes and stuff in Baltic already though, right ? They would respond instant to help. NATO will do it. What is the point of not? What is the point of doing training for 70 years if , when the time comes, they will do nothing. I don't agree.

Claims that Russia is preparing to attack the Baltic states, and thus NATO, are based on unfounded speculation and in effect play into Russia’s information warfare. The early-warning systems of the Baltic states and NATO as a whole are working very well. We know what our adversary is doing and planning. We saw months in advance how the full-scale invasion of Ukraine was being prepared. Today we see nothing even remotely similar directed toward NATO. But we will not lose our vigilance. Our first objective is to help Ukraine achieve victory. This must be the first priority of the entire Western world. Russia must lose.

@gators4ukraine @markomihkelson I am pro-Ukraine too. There is reason Ukraine ask NATO to close the sky every-day... because NATO is strong and can do it. Ukraine is so strong. NATO need Ukraine. But to call NATO non-exist, it's so wrong. In real war, we both work & fight & win together

@markomihkelson Don't be ignorant! You're not prepared and NATO is non-existent. During war exercises NATO was obliterated by 10 Ukrainian drone operators. Stop denying the reality, you'll hurt more. It's better to be prepared and wrong, than vice versa.

Trump is clearly scrambling for an exit from this war, but it’s not clear it’s even up to him at this point. “This is really a change in the regime because the leaders are very different from the ones we started with.”

Ukraine is liberating more territory than Russia is occupying — and we are doing so primarily with our own capabilities. Fact. In early 2022, while much of the world was still calibrating its response, Ukraine was already liberating Kyiv region and other areas — with limited external support. Also a fact. Early, decisive actions did exist. Before February 24, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Canada delivered lethal assistance: Stingers, Javelins, anti-tank weapons, small arms, ammunition. These were not symbolic steps. They were timely. After February 24, the United States moved first at scale — announcing a $350 million package on February 26. Shortly thereafter, the European Union took an unprecedented step, allocating €450 million for lethal assistance and €50 million for non-lethal support through the European Peace Facility — effectively breaking a long-standing political taboo. Speed mattered then. It still does. Today, the international response to threats linked to Iran is faster, clearer, more synchronized. The capacity for rapid, decisive action has always existed. The difference lies in how quickly it is activated. Because delays cost territory. Delays cost lives. Timely decisions change outcomes.
