Lock-On Odyssey: Let’s talk about the surface 🔎
When designing Odyssey, we kept the same philosophy as Harut. A glass surface that works for both newcomers and enthusiasts alike. While Harut leaned toward control, Odyssey shifts slightly towards speed, delivering a more fluid and responsive glide while staying manageable and predictable.
Specs:
• 490x420mm size
• 2mm thin profile (+ silicone backing)
• Improved beveled edges
• Uncoated micro-etched tempered glass surface
• Balanced glide leaning speed
The key takeaway:
Odyssey is intentionally uncoated with micro-etched texture.
You will not feel much texture on your arm during use, but under your mouse feet it will be noticeable. This gives consistent tactile feedback that helps you stay in control without the overly "floaty" feeling found on many fast glass surfaces. The result is a surface that feels faster, more responsive, and easier to manage at the same time. A faster glide balanced out by the textural feedback the surface provides.
The downside? Uncoated glass has slightly lower resistance to dust and moisture, although this has still been improved from Harut. Adding a coating could help in those areas, but would significantly reduce the tactile feedback that defines this surface.
We strongly believe Odyssey refines the glass pad experience into a strong entry point for newcomers, while staying versatile across FPS titles from tac shooters like CS2 to tracking-heavy games like Apex Legends.
