One of the best things about AI is that it doesn't get decision fatigue.

Introducing Claude Opus 5. It's a thoughtful and proactive model that comes close to the frontier intelligence of Fable 5 at half the price.

There's 1 sponsor that is a credibility killer in the creative influencer space (has been obvious from the start) but ppl just keep saying yes to them Their fee was good but like not THAT good lol

@keean_edward It's also tricky to tell with the state of the economy. I've seen evidence that companies like to blame AI for layoffs when it's really just that they're doing poorly as a company.

it’s likely true right now if you consider “vibe coders” engineers. but i think some nuance is required as we’re not just scoping to people coding, rather to employed engineers. i have friends at major tech companies and all i hear is teams are getting smaller. but i also suspect we’ll see a lot of rehiring unless AI gets significantly more efficient within a few months or more businesses have internal models.

a good engineer friend of mine explained the effect of AI on software engineering with the perfect analogy. woodworkers used to do everything with hand tools. then came power tools. power tools didn’t replace woodworkers, but they made them significantly more productive. woodworkers can still choose to build everything with hand tools, but doing so has become more of a niche choice. AI is doing the same thing for engineers - you can still write code by hand, but it won't be the default for much longer. this will likely apply to most industries, and it doesn't mean that your job is 100% safe. but at least somebody will still have a job.
Denislav Gavrilov@kuberdenis

ai is not coming for your job ai stripped you from debugging a ci failure for 3 days, or 4 hours of reading/trying out a library's exported functions, exploring performance steps, or wiring a strange protocol ai just made it so you never ever enjoy intellectual work ever again

@pigeon__s I'm not 100% vibe coding, but I do use Opus and Fable for a lot of my work flow. My game is massive though, I don't expect it to be out for at least 2 more years, if not longer.

Can you point me to anyone making, like, ACTUAL games, 100% vibe-coded with CC or Codex? I only use "1 file, no JS, HTML only" prompts shared on Twitter because those are easy for day-one stuff, but I've been trying over the last, like, 3 months, since GPT-5.5 came out, to make a real game with actual assets, fully functional online and stuff, with Codex, and it's going well. It's taking a while and hundreds of prompts of back-and-forth, but I'm making, like, just an actual board game. I want to see more people doing this since I find it so cool, and they are probably more creative than I am.

@pcshipp Are you offering oauth? Personally I'm not creating a password for an account I'll rarely use because then I have to save it in my password manager and that just feels like a hassle. Oauth will keep me around, though

Why do users hate login screens? Around 40% of my users drop off as soon as they reach the login screen. Is offering a guest mode the right solution? How do you solve this problem?

Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50% of limits. Pro and Team Standard users will continue to have access to Fable via usage credits, and will receive a one-time $100 credit. Demand for Fable has been challenging to predict, which is why we rolled it out to subscription plans in stages, extending access several times as we secured additional capacity.

Claude: lozorro: honest caveat on this one — the mesh genuinely has no head (the first reviewer escalated it), so the face you'll see is hand-painted pixel work: pale face patch, sleepy dark eye-stripe, dithered into the moss. LMAOOOO, I'm dying

Developers ask us how to make a game speedrunners will love. "Built for speedrunners" is a common trap that often comes off as gimmicky. The key: replayability, mechanical depth, a low skill floor and a high skill ceiling. A timer and leaderboards are important incentives - but can't be the whole offering. It's kind of like a "show, don't tell" thing

FABLE IS THE SAME MODEL AS MYTHOS. I get this question a ton and I've even seen other "big ai influencer" types spreading misinformation about this. Think of Fable 5 and Mythos 5 as two separate entrances to the same place (confusingly, also named Mythos 5). When using Fable, Anthropic has more safeguards in place. These guards are NOT part of the model. They are layers in front that check your request to make sure it's safe. They also monitor what the model is doing while it responds to make sure the response is safe as well. Mythos 5 has way fewer checks. It is a special entrance for trusted parties who have been given access with fewer restrictions. That's the only difference. They are the same model. Same weights. Same servers. Same everything. The difference is at the entrance.

@theo I wonder how good Mythos is in comparison. Fable is already so good.
