How about this… First thought for players - what do I have to do to win the game - there are everyday things that players need to do to compete and stay on the court - then there are things that are variable and are determined by the game flow itself. Too many players force things to get stats instead of doing whatever is necessary to give your team the best chance to win

The best player on a team isn’t always the player who scores the most. Sometimes it’s the player who has a high IQ or a diverse/versatile skill set or a player who is unselfish & coachable or who knows their role inside & out. Basing “good” only on points scored is a big mistake!
