𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻-3'𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗻𝗮𝗱𝘂 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸 Exactly 3 years ago, on 14 July 2023, Chandrayaan-3 began its historic journey towards the Moon. On 23 August 2023, it achieved a successful soft landing near the lunar south polar region, placing India permanently among the world’s leading spacefaring nations. In this extraordinary success story, Tamilnadu’s contribution was not merely a small chapter-it was one of the mission’s significant foundations. 1. The Project Director of Chandrayaan-3, P. Veeramuthuvel, is a distinguished scientist from Villupuram, Tamilnadu. His leadership, dedication and determination played a crucial role in transforming the dreams of millions of Indians into a historic reality on the Moon. 2. The special soil from Namakkal district, which closely resembled the lunar surface, was used to create simulated Moon-like terrain for testing the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover. - before the rover moved on the Moon, it first proved its capability on the soil of Tamilnadu. 3. The vital CE-20 cryogenic engine of the LVM3 launch vehicle, which carried Chandrayaan-3 into space, also underwent an important flight acceptance test at the @isro Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu. Tamilnadu's scientific talent, Namakkal’s soil and Mahendragiri’s advanced technological infrastructure came together to strengthen one of India’s greatest space missions. A country outside the NPT can face strict export controls, limited access to uranium and nuclear technology, mandatory IAEA safeguards, and the need for special international exemptions., but India is free just because of our extraordinary leadership of PMModi. The world recognises that India, guided by the ideals of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” and universal brotherhood, uses nuclear energy not for destruction, but for development, clean energy and the welfare of humanity. Australian uranium will also be used strictly for peaceful purposes under stringent international safeguards and safety standards. This cooperation will provide long-term fuel security to India’s nuclear power plants, reduce dependence on coal and imported fossil fuels, and help ensure a stable, clean and round-the-clock supply of electricity. It will also strengthen India’s goal of achieving 100 gigawatts of nuclear energy capacity by 2047. This is a historic achievement for India’s #EnergySecurity, the vision of a #ViksitBharat. Consider this: two families.. one with insufficient food, the other with surplus meant for redistribution. If both receive the same amount of rice, is that fair? Clearly not. Those in greater need deserve more. Yet, the @CMOTamilnadu advocates the opposite. The proposed amendment by the central government suggests giving 7 kg of grain per person - meaning larger families get more. From a nutritional and fairness standpoint, this approach makes sense. However, Chief Minister @TVKVijayHQ has opposed this, petitioning the Prime Minister to retain the old system - where every household receives a flat 35 kg of grain regardless of size. Let's be honest: the 35 kg rule is flawed. A two-person family receives the same as a large family - potentially leading to hunger among many. This defeats the very purpose of the policy - helping those in need while preventing exploitation by those who don’t require aid. So, is this opposition genuinely about supporting the poor? A developed #Tamilnadu, aspiring to be on par with a developed India, should embrace reforms rather than view every change with suspicion. Constructive criticism is valuable, but opposition for opposition's sake only harms the state and the nation. Instead asking for allocating more per person is a logical foundation. Additionally, the state could promote the intake of proteins, vitamins, and fats alongside the cereal from the center to foster health. But #CMJosephVijay‌ opposing policies just to oppose? That’s futile. Empty posturing cannot replace people-centric politics and genuine welfare efforts.
