@hashcoin0 I am not fudding megaeth. I just read X, see google trends, see Miniblocks stats, network numbers etc. All is down, sentiment is bad, many lost trust. There is nothing concrete in the future, some hope for q3 as i understand This decision was chaotic and has price, all affected

@hashcoin0 There are several options 1. Responsible one - end first stage of terminal, take costs for bad decision 2. compensate those who bought NFTs during terminal - still possible 3. Not include 3rd parties in activities you cannot handle

I was scared to terminate Terminal last week. It felt like yet another drastic decision. But I'm very glad we did it. (hard decisions are often the correct ones.) Yes, farmers and mercenary ecosystem projects are upset. But the amount of support and love from true believers has been overwhelming. Projects that chose Mega for our tech and bespoke GTM support, and who say they'll never leave, are exactly why I believe Mega's future is bright. Ending Terminal allows Mega to enter a new phase, one where projects are further empowered by our Financial OS product suite. It's just better.

@hotpot_dao This post is kind of worrisome. It is quite different from the sentiment I saw on x recently. Maybe x is an echo chamber or maybe team is in a bubble. Also calling all who are upset farmers and mercenaries is a typical manipulation.

its pretty hard for me to comment on whats happening right now and the shutdown of the terminal i definitely see it as a negative impact in the short term, and honestly, I dont even know what it means long term yet but as a creator who was invited in, i got fucked over even before mainnet several promises were made and never delivered and eventually it just turned into complete silence and global ignoring as an artist, im still creating and i have received a lot of requests for custom bunnies but i also had a numberof other plans i wanted to build specifically for MegaETH rn those plans are under a huge question mark, because if the foundation doesnt respect me, then whats the point of me personally continuing to push the ecosystem?

@bread_ @imluidji ok. So you are compensating to NFT buyers during Terminal campaign? They bought NFTs counting on your rules of multi months campaign. You suddenly changed the rules. So you either accept you cannot be trusted or compensate them. it is tough, I agree. but look at comments here

@Shooooom9 @imluidji Who's not acknowledging responsibility though? We're very literally doing that. We've acknowledged, given our reasoning and what our path forward is. And we're not going anywhere.

So far, the recent news have been a net negative for everyone who has been contributing, supporting or building on their chain. It doesn't matter which app you used or which NFT/token you bought, they're down tremendously since the recent announcement. Example: I was looking forward to the Season 2 of @playhuntertales so I bought some $CROWN and Hunters (NFTs). Now chances to see an S2 coming are all gone. I wish that was all: every single NFT they encouraged us to buy for pledge competition and points boost are all down between 30-60%. Portfolio on @TopStrikeIO is down 30-40% despite it going through some solid momentum with the WC 2026. All of this also add a major impact on the PA of $MEGA which is basically down ~60% from ATH in 3 weeks. On the building side, most dApps have lost the few users they worked hard to attract. Everyone is bridging out of them, and the chain because the sentiment is at its lowest since then. Only @Euphoria_fi, @beefyfinance and @aave seem to be spared from this. It took me a while to process this, so while I'm very happy that this will potentially benefit MegaETH long-term, that decision completely disregarded their community and users who are left out with nothing but a net loss on every asset they held. I will be happy to QRT with a more positive POV if the compensation I'll receive from the foundation next week will make up to it.

@bread_ @imluidji I believe good leaders shall bear responsibility for their actions. Setting long term rules affects many participants. If you change rules momentarily but refuse to bear responsibility - it is bad leadership and will negatively affect your project. It was better to ignore NFTs.

Unfortunate reality is that there is and was no path to shutting down terminal that didn't impact some cohort of users and/or apps. Citing NFT prices specifically is double-edged. They went up because we included them. They went down because the program was ended. The only way to avoid this outcome was to have never considered them ever, and I don't wager that's the preferred path of the community. Open to feedback. How would you have done it?

@imluidji @Tuteth_ I think this post may be helpful. Regular users are not that important as they do not pay MegaETH fees. They are better with whales to increase usdm supply. Terminal was probably not meeting their KPIs and they may not care much about small fish :) x.com/ImperiumPaper/…

@Tuteth_ I just don't understand. Not the decision, but how it's been done. I can't believe they forgot we ever existed (and those who were active on the chain)

@degenvampir @imluidji You are right. But it also means megaeth cannot rely on any good will of community, all relationships are transactional and users can critique and fud megaeth for any imperfection. looks like lose-lose situation.

@imluidji team simply introduced terminal for users to test the apps, no one forced you to burn your money or buy those NFTs, that was your own decisions trying to farm hard stop blaming the team for everything you guys are acting like kids

@imluidji Yes, I agree. But from their perspective it was just: campaign does not work and takes resources - close it asap. As they gave no compensation details I suspect it was a very quick decision without much planning and calculations. I think it was a mistake.

@Shooooom9 Again, I don't consider all this being a side effect. It's the main effect. Whatever they expect to reach long term doesn't exist yet, in opposite, we, the community, exist and we're the ones suffering from it. We're not a side effect, we're MegaETH. Never forget that.

Our AI generated digest also detected the drop in activity after terminal closure. As most of transactions on MegaETH are automatic oracles-related activity the drop looks not that sharp. But 3.5 average TPS decrease is a significant part of real user activity on chain. Graphs also show that prior to Terminal closure TPS was growing (probably because of new apps like @Euphoria_fi ) but the number of unique wallets was stagnating - Terminal was not bringing new users to the chain. We will continue monitoring the state of MegaETH.

The effect of shutting down MegaETH Terminal is visible on activity charts. During Terminal program non-oracle activity was around 7-8 TPS and now dropped to 3-4 TPS

@0xbeiu why? they changed the meaning of the primary verification signal. it is confusing to people who do not follow all twitter developments. it must be explained to protect those users. whats the problem?
