Meanwhile, one YouTuber played an indie game, made a film adaptation along side with the game's creator. Expanded/fleshed out the game's lore in the film rather than making a "reinterpretation" or "put their own spin on it" or "rewrite it to attract non-gamers".

Bless oomf but the inauthenticity is the least of its issues. An otherwise actually good episode grinds to a screeching halt for nearly a fifth of its runtime just so the show can give itself a quick wee handjob and once again remind you it wishes it was still the 2000s.

Blink will of course wow casual viewers as there’s zero prior knowledge needed. But I’d say most hardcore fans are naturally gonna connect more to episodes centred on THEIR favourite characters, villains, mythology etc Hence why this lot felt so cringe and performative
