This is Ranvir Singh Yadav. - In 1973, he was a bus conductor in Delhi (DTC). - He was accused of issuing a ₹0.10 ticket instead of ₹0.15 and keeping 5 paise. - The DTC filed a case against him. - In 1976, he was dismissed from his job. - He fought the case in court for decades. - In 1990, he won in the Labour Court. - DTC kept appealing, dragging the case in the High Court for over 40 years. - DTC spent ₹47,000 to recover 5 paise. In 2016, the Delhi High Court dismissed DTC's appeal and directed it to pay Yadav ₹30,000, along with ₹1.28 lakh as gratuity and ₹1.37 lakh as CPF. This is how an innocent man’s life was wasted fighting for 5 paise, while ministers commit fraud of crores and live comfortably in London.

In a horrific fire at Birch by Romeo Lane in Arpora, 25 lives were lost and six people injured. Investigations now reveal the club operated without clearance, no valid construction licence, and serious building‑norm violations. A demolition notice had already been issued last year, yet the club continued functioning after the order was stayed. After the fire, owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra reportedly fled to Thailand. Police issued a Blue Corner Notice and Look‑Out Circular, and the Goa government sealed their properties, including associated beach shacks. Authorities have also arrested top club management, ordered a magisterial inquiry, and launched a full investigation into who allowed the club to operate despite repeated warnings. A portion of the Luthras' Romeo Lane beach-shack at Vagator has been demolished, reclaiming illegally occupied land. This tragedy serves as a brutal reminder: when safety rules are treated as formalities, lives are lost. It’s a call for accountability — and never letting revenue take precedence over human life.

16-year-old national-level basketball player Hardik Rathi died in Haryana’s Rohtak district after a basketball pole collapsed onto his chest during a dunk attempt at the Lakhan Majra sports nursery. CCTV footage shows Hardik hanging from the hoop when the rusted pole suddenly gave way. He was rushed to hospital but could not be saved. A three-time U-14 Nationals medallist, Hardik had been preparing for trials for the Indian U-16 team. His family and local players accuse the panchayat-run nursery of chronic negligence, saying the poles were dilapidated and repeated requests for repairs were ignored. Haryana Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam has suspended the Rohtak district sports officer and ordered a high-level inquiry. Hardik’s father and grandfather call it a preventable tragedy, alleging that a 2023 government grant for upgrades was never utilised. For this ground report, we spoke to Hardik’s grandfather, father, and coach about the warnings raised, the infrastructure failures, and the dreams this young athlete carried. Watch our full ground report! youtu.be/nTTLY2ix1GY

The only support I received was from Liverpool John Moores University team, specially Professor Martin and Birmingham Consulate. Very thankful to them, with special mention to Mr Jasbinder Singh, Vice Counsel. Part 5/6 @LJMU #LiverpoolHotels

The hotel offered a £100 to “close the matter”, when I have lost all valuables and got traumatized. I had to go through enormous hassle to get a new passport from the Indian embassy. Part 4/6

But they dismissively said it’s not their concern since the hotel is open to anyone. A staff was there till the police arrived and investigated for the first few hours, after which they left me to fend for myself. Part 3/6

Despite multiple requests, the hotel staff refused to provide any email confirmation or written support, repeatedly denying any responsibility. I begged their management for help because the burglary was committed in their premises… Part 2/6 #LiverpoolHotelReview
