@DrDeepMD What metrics do you notice are the most important for a long and healthy life?

One of my ancillary roles is doing life insurance reviews. Basically predicting when someone will die given all the data presented. It’s fascinating and makes me a better doctor But I’ve learned that life insurers are by FAR the most accurate predictors of mortality in the world
Mark Hyman, M.D.@drmarkhyman

Do life insurance companies know exactly when you’re going to die? It sounds like science fiction, but it’s actually data. They’ve spent decades collecting data on blood biomarkers, nutrient levels, and lifestyle factors that predict mortality with stunning accuracy. Their risk models are so precise that while 364 banks collapsed in the 2008 financial crisis, not a single life insurance company failed. @garybrecka, a former mortality expert who spent years assessing life expectancy for high-stakes insurance policies, has seen firsthand how certain biomarkers and lifestyle factors influence longevity. This is one of the most eye-opening conversations I’ve had about the science of health and longevity. Don’t miss it. Find it on The Dr. Hyman Show wherever you listen to podcasts.

I realize the new Mythos is genuinely game changing, but it seems like every...single... release is "game changing" and then 2 months go by, and everyone says they are trash.

WAIT I just realized one of the best use cases of these LLMs Know all those user agreements we just blindly click "accept" on? Copy and paste it into any LLM and have it read it and summarize what you are actually saying yes to.

Is anyone else tired of every single comment section of every single post just being people tagging Grok to explain?

It’s absolutely wild to me that basically any minor-major problem in your life can be solved in one prompt. My fridge kept freezing everything. Told grok the make and model roughly and what’s going on and it told me 4 things to change. I changed them and now nothing freezes. I have been dealing with this for months and kept telling myself to just grok it. Finally did and solved in 5 seconds. Wild times we live in.

Has anyone else thought about how we have basically eradicated needing to think or solve math? AI can solve any math issue in a matter of seconds. Wild

Started vibe coding by using Grok 4.20 with 4 agents to guide me. He suggested to use claude for the building of it. He said to use the web app, and we built a huge prompt to give it. I think it was too big and kept failing. Now setting up Claude code, let's see how this goes.

First attempt of my new journey. vibe coding a program to replace a bunch of paid programs we use at my work. Replace them all and put them into one app. Make it cost a fraction of the price of all the rest.

I embark on a new journey today. It's time for me to leverage AI to retire. First my parents Then my siblings Then myself I'm 26, have a decent job, a beautiful wife, and a good family But I'm overweight, broke for where I live, and worried about the future. I want to spend more time with my Wife, spoil her with whatever she desires, instead of slaving for money 40 hours a week and nothing to show for it at the end of the month. My parents are getting older, their health is deteriorating, and they have 0 money saved. Its time.

We're recruiting at @temple. At Temple, we are building the ultimate wearable for elite performance athletes. A device that measures what no other wearable in the world measures, with a level of precision that doesn't exist yet. To build it, we need people who are obsessive about both the craft and the category. Engineers who are also athletes. People who will wear what they build, and hate it until it's perfect. Roles we're hiring for: 🟠 Analog Systems Engineers, Electronics Design Engineers 🟠 Embedded Systems Engineers — low-level HW bring-up, embedded signal and image processing, embedded AI 🟠 Design and Validation Engineers — sensors, actuators, battery, antenna, optics 🟠 CMF Engineers, Adhesive Materials Engineers 🟠 Sensor Algorithms Engineers — estimation theory, sensor fusion 🟠 Deep Learning Engineers — ML model development for physiological metrics 🟠 Computational Neuroscientists 🟠 BCI Engineers — real-time EEG/EMG acquisition and processing 🟠 Neural Decoding Researchers — brain activity to semantic mapping 🟠 Computer Vision Engineers — facial microexpression, subvocal muscle detection 🟠 Neuroimaging ML Engineers — multimodal sensor fusion 🟠 Last but not the least, product managers who work through Figma without needing a designer to hold their hand Important – we are building for people who push their bodies to the edge. We want to be those people, not just serve them. So only people who take fitness seriously, and have body fat <16% (men) and 26% (women) should apply. If you're not there yet but will commit to getting there in three months, you can apply too; but you'll be on probation until you are. Write to build@temple.com with your core skill as the subject line. Come find your tribe.
