@volklub Reasons not buy EV
1. Charging infra in India
2. Safety (especially with EVs catching fire frequently)
3. Car longevity and resale value
4. Cannot trust the govt policies
@rahulrjoshi@maheshklandge Problem is back to back signals and hardly anyone stops at signal near Maharaja complex. And PMPML buses never follow Kothrud depot signal.
Also bus stop located just next to signal is major cause for bottleneck
@Shrirang_P@maheshklandge But that Kothrud depot signal is major bottleneck for traffic now itself. With metro station also coming there, overpass will help the flow hopefully.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Pune Metro is rapidly expanding its network to strengthen sustainable transportation across the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR)

@rahulrjoshi@maheshklandge Actually that is not required. What I have heard that integrated overpass was added to increase the project cost. As most of the bidding companies are not interested in taking contract for 1-1.5 kms of metro line

Truly impressed with #Nagpur residents
Helmet usage almost 95% riders and riders stopping behind zebra crossing.
Can see lot of patience while people are driving.
Pune is finally set to get entrance gates at some of its biggest entry points after the Pune Municipal Corporation approved the long-pending proposal. The gates will be built on major roads leading into the city, including the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, Solapur Road, Bengaluru Highway and Ahmednagar Road.
The plan had been delayed for years, but PMC’s standing committee has now given the green signal. Civic officials say the project will move ahead soon, although the PMC will need permission and coordination from the National Highways Authority of India because most of these roads fall under national highways.
PMC says the gates are meant to reflect Pune’s identity as a historic and important city. Many other cities across Maharashtra and India already have similar welcome structures at their borders.
