In a new piece titled "Iran’s Attacks Force U.S. Troops to Work Remotely," the NYT confirms the broad picture of the abandonment of US bases across the Persian Gulf. All of these details are widely known to those of us monitoring the situation, but it's significant to see them confirmed by the MSM for the first time: • Many of the 40,000 personnel that were in the region before the war are "working remotely" in hotels, except those directly involved in air operations, like pilots and ground crews. Some personnel have been evacuated to Europe • Many of the US's 13 major bases in the region are "nearly uninhabitable" as a result of continuous Iranian strikes • Bases in Kuwait have taken the most damage • The State Department didn't evacuate personnel from embassies until after the war started, so nonessential staff and even families were still present • The officials quoted in the piece are open in saying the military was overextended in the region, there was no way to continue operations out of bases in the Gulf states due to their proximity to Iran • Key bases like Prince Sultan lack hardening against drone and missile strikes, including in command centers • Refueling tankers were "rushed" into the region with no time for their crews to orient themselves, resulting in disorganization nytimes.com/2026/03/25/us/…

Iran is well aware this war is going to last a while, and while they have plenty of missiles - and manufacturing capacity for more under hard cover and abroad in friendly countries - their supply does have to be rationed.

As I've been saying this entire time, Iran's whole strategy with this has been to launch 1-2 missiles at a time and deplete western interceptor stockpiles, while simultaneously extending the longevity of their own ballistic missile stockpiles. It's smart, and the results are starting to show. We went from Israel shooting down almost every missile, to sometimes not shooting down any, like what we saw with 2/2 missiles hitting Hadera. This is because they are rationing interceptors and prioritising defending certain areas. This proves Iran's strategy has been successful so far. Resistards were hoping for a ton of 12-day-war-style clips of missiles slamming into Tel Aviv every single night, and were disappointed and angry at me when this didn't happen. I've been trying to say this for so long. Iran is (finally) prioritising actual military success over PR wins. Just because you don't see tons of clips of hypersonic missiles hitting Tel Aviv, it doesn't mean there isn't a comprehensive plan in place. You don't need to justify a lack of damage through posting AI slop and old videos, and claiming "Tel Aviv is burning, trust me bro". Although, unfortunately, for accounts who have followings consisting entirely of people who follow this war for entertainment and view it as a football game, they have no other way to get engagement.

🔴 Hezbollah lured an entire Israeli armored company into a textbook ambush last night on the Taybeh–Qantara axis Tuesday, Israel's 7th Brigade sent a remote-controlled bulldozer to probe Hezbollah's defensive lines between Muhaysibat and Qantara. The fighters spotted it and let it pass. They wanted the real prize. Wednesday at 6:50 PM, it came. A full armored column of Merkava tanks and D9 bulldozers, rolling single-file toward Qantara. Hezbollah waited. Every vehicle entered the kill zone. Then the order came, and with the battle cry "Ya Rasul Allah," the fighters launched. Guided missiles slammed into the middle of the column. Four Merkavas and a D9, all destroyed. The column was now cut in half. The rear platoon popped smoke to hide. It didn't matter. Missiles found them too. All four tanks burned. The lead platoon tried to push through into Qantara anyway. More missiles. Another D9 and two more Merkavas gone. The surviving soldiers abandoned their vehicles and tried to evacuate their casualties, fleeing on foot back toward Muhaysibat while Hezbollah artillery pounded their command posts and reinforcements. Final toll: ten tanks, two bulldozers. An entire company's worth of armor wiped out in a single engagement. And this was the second time in three days. Two days earlier, Hezbollah destroyed eight Merkavas in a similar ambush on the Taybeh to Deir Siryan road.

Iran is methodically chipping away at US/Israel strategic assets. The US does not have the industrial capability to sustain large-scale overseas military operations. Iran is fighting on its own ground, with vast strategic depth. The US cannot win a war of attrition with Iran.

Every time Israel/US has been allowed to violate these most basic norms of the international system, they have eroded them. Every journalist, politician and influencer who has justified those violations or sought to confuse or question them is likewise responsible. Every time someone says, “but surely you’d not defend the Iranian regime” after a norm has been violated, they have eroded them. Every time the conversation shifts from the simple fact that this is a war of aggression, those norms are eroded. Big violations follows by all these countless single moments of speech, political failures, and acts of cowardice have brought us into a world of genocide and mass war crime.
