gonna try GPT 5.4 in 🦞 tomorrow given its new update aimed at making it not the most unpleasant LLM i'm ever chatted with.
what's the official word on setting the /thinking level for it? does it need changing? what should it be set to as a daily driver?

@danshipper Easy to miss, but makes a huge difference. Ant defaults to “adaptive” thinking, really wish OpenAI had that option.

if you're seeing this, make sure you turn thinking on
claws are actually pretty great in gpt-5.4, but they seem really stupid unless this gets turned on

I suspect the IDE will be making a comeback over the next 6 months as people realize that you can get away without reading every line of code, but you better be reading every line of markdown Surprised more IDEs haven't focused on being the absolute best place to edit markdown

@ryancarson @openclaw Great tips. Using Codex or Claude outside of OpenClaw to fix OpenClaw was a big unlock for me too.
