Whatever happens in the play offs, I feel a right sided forward should be a priority in the summer. None of the current 3 in that position have done enough IMO. There’s obviously other positions that require improvements too but adding some quality in that area is key #gtfc

@Youngy316 @newensgtfc Kabia naturally seems to drift inside from the left wing, I’m not sure that works unless you’ve got Staunton giving us that option out wide to stretch the pitch. Vernam tends to give us the width himself before then cutting in. I agree we are much more balanced with Sweeney at LB

@newensgtfc Agreed. I think our overall play improves with Sweeney in the team. Staunton's set pieces have been excellent (not including Friday obviously) but I think our general attacking play is sharper with Sweeney in there.

What changes are we anticipating today? For me, Sweeney has to start. The midfield is being over run without Khouri. Sweeney steps into there from left back and offers extra support #GTFC

@Youngy316 The only reason he’s getting any stick is because he hasn’t yet put the ball in the net. Personally I think his all round play is stronger than Kabia’s but JK has the goals to mask that. I think there’s a serious player in there given time and Artell’s nurturing.

@JamFlem86 Listen to Artells post match, there's a reason why JSB is starting and it's tactical. Artell was full of praise for him and said he did exactly what he asked him to do and very well. He helped us stay in the game for the first hour. #gtfc

For me the two #GTFC 8’s should be Walker and Khouri. Walker gives us that extra technical ability in the final third and support to the centre forward. Khouri adds to the defensive side especially in transition. I like Green as much as the next fan, but he has a ceiling.

@Siddle_MS We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes but something needs to change and fast or our season will be over . Yes there’s a lack of quality but we wasn’t saying that when we beat mkd Salford Walsall etc .

Players have thrown artell under the bus . Find it very sad because like hurst he understands our club but if there’s no improvement before the new year he has to go because we should be no where near the bottom half #gtfc

@JamesCallumG There’s no circumstance whereby I see DA losing the dressing room. The players adapted fine until this run of poor form? Personally I think there is a lack of quality in key areas and it’s now showing. That will be addressed during the next couple of transfer windows

@Siddle_MS If the manager loses the dressing room or the players can’t adapt to his style of play or follow his instructions then there’s only one choice. We’re not there yet as I’ve already said that but you can feel it coming .

@GabSutton Absolutely, the beautiful game at its emotive best! It will click eventually and David Artell is the man to do it. No doubt the data will be backed by results soon enough! Bromley away next, doesn’t get much tougher in this league at the minute!

@Siddle_MS Of course, and that’s football, it’s an emotive sport. But I just hope that most can recognise that this team is performing far better than its current league position and it just might take a bit longer for it all to align.

@GabSutton Pym was a very popular signing but I’m not sure if ability has declined or if confidence is the issue! He’s has shown both the sublime and ridiculous sides of his game. Re the CB’s, on paper McJannet and Tharme are a good pairing, I’m not sure why the errors keep creeping in now

Goalkeeper and centre-back I’d add to that. I don’t think it’ll take much, bit more confidence perhaps in front of goal. Stay calm, keep doing the right things every day will be the message internally. From the fanbase point of view - in one way, who am I to tell you how to support your own club? At the same time, this is when the players and staff need you more than ever. They’ve earned your support over the last 18 months. I know you will get behind them because you’re a fab bunch.

@GabSutton Thanks for your response Gab. I’ve said the same regarding a run, doesn’t feel too far away despite results. As a neutral, where do you think we should be looking to improve? Majority of our fanbase, me included, think a right back and centre forward should be priorities.
