Despite the currency redenomination of the Sierra Leone’s leone, inflation in SLE remains sky-high. Today, I measure inflation in SLE at a stunning 47.93%/yr, & the leone has depreciated by 30.6% against the USD since Jan 1, 2020. SLE is stuck in an economic death spiral.
