Illinois is broke, bleeding residents, and drowning in unfunded pension obligations that YOUR party built over decades. You had power, Supermajority in the legislature. Every opportunity to make progress. No Trump to blame. No obstruction. Just you and your party, completely in charge of a great American state. And people left. By the hundreds of thousands. They’re not fleeing Donald Trump. They’re fleeing YOU. Your taxes. Your crime policies. Your schools. Your budget that exists entirely on borrowed time and borrowed money. So forgive me if I don’t take the tyranny speech seriously from the guy who uses government as a personal vanity project. You don’t oppose Trump because you love democracy. You oppose him because he’s the ONLY thing keeping you relevant. Without him as a villain, you’d have to answer for your own record… and that’s the one conversation you’ll do anything to avoid.
