Since the launch of Operation Dudula on 16 June 2021 in Diepkloof, I have dedicated myself wholeheartedly to the organisation, its vision, its members, and the cause we believed in. I remain grateful for the journey, the sacrifices made, the relationships built, and the commitment shown by many ordinary members across the country. However, I can no longer ignore matters that I believe require urgent honesty, accountability, and introspection within the organisation. Therefore, I am placing before the leadership, founders, executives, committees, and members a final call for accountability. Within the next 72 hours, unless there is a transparent process where all individuals who have engaged in wrongdoing, misconduct, criminal conduct, or who have personally benefited using the name, influence, or structures of Operation Dudula come forward and openly confess — beginning with founders, executives, committees, and members — my resignation shall stand without withdrawal or reconsideration. My position is based on the belief that no organisation can genuinely claim moral authority, credibility, or a future without truth, accountability, and integrity. This decision has not been taken lightly. It comes after reflection, concern, and a desire to see honesty prevail above personalities, positions, or personal interests. I thank the ordinary members who supported, believed, sacrificed, and carried the organisation from its inception. I wish them strength and clarity moving forward. Acting on information from a tracking company, officers located the vehicle and traced the suspects to a nearby residence, where they were found in possession of the vehicle, its keys, and the victim’s personal belongings. The pair have been charged with possession of a hijacked motor vehicle and suspected stolen property and are expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court soon.

What is even more disheartening is the slow pace of the Zimbabwean government in repatriating those who want to return home. When we conducted our investigation in March, about 18 Zimbabweans had reportedly died. That number has now doubled. Sadly, more Zimbabweans are still making their way to Russia

My personal view from any country anywhere in the world that expects South Africa to do business with them on the basis of allowing illegality in our our country, please go ahead to do what is in the interest of your own country. South Africa is open: 1. To do business with all people of the world. 2. Ready to welcome anyone from any part of the world to work in our country, bringing rare skills not available here. 3. Ready to welcome tourists to come enjoy the beauty and hospitality of our country. 4. Ready to welcome students from all parts of the world to come study in our Unviversities. 5. We are ready to welcome and assist asylum seekers. BUT, they must come here legally, and when in our country, respect the laws of our country.
