@IterIntellectus For starters, parents are two people and their votes are private, even from each other. They would have to agree on who gets to cast the child's vote. I'm not categorically against this, but it's a logistic nightmare and sounds like an unhealthy incentive for having children.

why aren’t we giving parents an extra vote for every child? it would give more power to people who have actual stakes in the future and incentivize having more kids win-win

Joint Ventures gab's auch um Batterie know how aufzubauen. Leider immer mit dem Hintergedanken, dass Wasserstoff ähnlich wichtig werden könnte. All in ist man nie gegangen.

Die Union betreibt Deindustrialisierung mit Ansage. Gerade erst hat Bosch angekündigt, bis 2030 13.000 Stellen streichen zu wollen. Als Hauptgrund nannte das Management einen stagnierenden globalen Automarkt vor allem im traditionellen Geschäft, also Verbrenner. Bedeutet konkret: Der Autoindustrie brechen gerade die Märkte weg, vor allem in China. Die Nachfrage nach Verbrennern sinkt, die nach E-Mobilität steigt und dort kann 🇩🇪 nichts liefern. Doch anstatt den Wandel endlich zu erkennen und Schlimmeres zu verhindern, klammert sich die Union weiter zwanghaft an eine Technologie fest, dessen Aus längst besiegelt ist. Aber nächste Woche wieder schön den Grünen, der Klimapolitik oder der Energiewende Schuld an Deindustrialisierung und Abschwung geben🤦‍♂️

If the U.S. got hit at the same rate, that’s like ~300,000 factory jobs or ~500,000 total jobs gone in a month and a half. Picture every factory worker in a state like South Carolina unemployed. That’s the scale. @extrakaese Die Leute müssten aufhören, Tintenpisser zu kaufen. Vor allem von HP und Canon. Mein Laserdrucker druckt seit 15 Jahren mit Billigsttoner auf Billigstpapier und vom Abschicken bis zum Ausdruck dauert es im Tiefschlaf 30s maximal.

@Schlautropf Methan ist ein Klimagas, welches über 100 Jahre, 30 mal so klimawirksam ist wie CO2 und ein anderes IR-Band abdeckt (7,6um anstatt 15um). Wenn es wärmer wird, gibt es mehr Wasserdampf, aber nicht proportional mehr Wolken. Thermodynamics is a bitch! Viel lernen Sie müssen!

Eine schön gemachte Animation des CO2 Gehaltes der Atmosphäre und der globalen Durchschnittstemperatur der letzten für uns Menschheit relevanten letzten 20.000 Jahre. Man sieht auch gut, dass es keine so schnelle CO2/Temperaturveränderung gab wie in den letzten 50 Jahren.

Das neueste Mitglied im Hause BYD. Während sich die meisten Hersteller aus dem Kombi-Segment zurückziehen, entwickelt BYD mit dem Seal 6 DMi einen solchen extra für Europa. Mit 4,84m Länge fast Passat-Maße und ab 35.980.- dafür zum Polo Preis. Das wird auch mein nächstes Auto.

Das ist doch mal eine Batterie. Skalierbar auf 16 Einheiten (512 kWh) - das wären dann rund 48.000€. Ca 90€ pro kWh.

Three styles of programming: 1. OOP 2. C-style 3. FP In OOP, you pass 'this' implicitly to every method. In C-style, you pass a modifiable reference to an object. In FP, you return a new value. I don't really get OOP. It feels like a lot of hassle for simple things. Suppose I want to create a local helper function. In that case, I need to either make it private (polluting the interface, as private methods shouldn't be visible in the API) or explicitly pass a reference to an object; otherwise, I can't call other methods. C-style seems strictly superior because there's consistency in how everything is treated. FP-style is safer. You can't accidentally introduce errors due to sudden mutability. Every function returns a new state to make it more convenient for piping. But you have to pay the performance cost. Some optimisations are possible, though. Anyway, all three styles are in the screenshots below.
