I’ve just completed #TheSharkSwim 🏊‍♂️🦈📣 12 days and 59 miles around the island of Martha’s Vineyard, where Jaws was filmed 50 years ago. It's been one of the toughest swims of my life. Cold water, relentless wind, big waves and the constant thought of what might be beneath me. But I swam here for a reason 👇 Jaws has shaped our perception of sharks as vindictive killers. That fear spread across the globe and lasted for half a century. Now it’s time to change the narrative for a new generation. Sharks are not monsters. They’re magnificent. They’re essential. And they’re seriously endangered. As apex predators, they keep the ocean in balance. Take them out, and the entire ecosystem starts to collapse. Right now, sharks need us. Thank you @SimonDGriffiths for your article Challenge & Endurance in @outdoor_swimmer. I’ve been really struggling with the transition back to wetsuit/outdoors “proper” swims. So good to get perspective and reset my expectations of myself! I no longer want to quit my events! 🏊‍♀️

Day 3 of our Red Top Swim Training Camp in Croatia! After a double training session — 2 hrs in the pool this morning 🏊‍♂️☀️ and 2 hrs in open water this afternoon 🌊❄️ — our swimmers ended the day with a crazy fun challenge: “Swimming into the tunnel”

Drifting down the river this morning, I passed my phone to a woman I'd never met before and asked her to take a picture. It's come out so much better than any of my selfies.

I wouldn't want to be the River Mole right now. 168 hours of discharge from Leatherhead, 62 from Cobham and 58 from Esher, and all still going. #StormBert has long gone. What's going on @thameswater ?

The moment I spotted a kingfisher while drifting down the Thames in the fog this morning. Unfortunately the photographer stopped filming just before the bird took off and darted across the river.
