Women who make poor choices in terms of who they partner with suffer the consequences personally. Men who target young women or girls harm young women and girls. Again, I am perplexed by the lack of critical thought happening from men in this conversation…

@CostelloWilliam @MeghanEMurphy Long form convo with people who have a different audience or style is how you get people exposed to things they wouldn’t normally, think about the way the trigger boys talk to all sides etc, people only learn if they have the chance to be exposed to people outside their silo

A Restore Britain Government would back British drivers. How? Raise the speed limit on motorways to 80mph. Remove all 20mph zones, other than those outside schools or areas with vulnerable individuals. Our current 70 mph speed limit was implemented decades ago, for a completely different type of car with completely different capabilities - far lower safety standards, poorer braking, and less advanced handling. It is unnecessarily slow, plenty of other countries sensibly allow for more. 80mph is faster and fair, and Restore Britain would do the unthinkable - trust people to get on with their lives without such overbearing state interference. It boosts business, backs drivers and gets Britain moving. Support Restore Britain to make it 80.

@gavmarten @AyoKnight1 @RupertLowe10 I do a lot of miles a year and from what I’ve seen on the roads tbh I have a sneaking suspicion that if restores main policy came to fruition the average driving standard on the roads would increase even without extra training (though I do agree there should be more training)

@AyoKnight1 @RupertLowe10 Driving too fast for the conditions is a major factor; that’s within the speed limit. A better program would be to educate drivers with advanced driving lessons rather than reducing speed limits.

@AyoKnight1 @RupertLowe10 On patrol would and no variable speed limits would make for less accidents on the motorway system. People switch off when they have to sit at 50 on a motorway and that’s when accidents happen, go drive an autobahn and you’ll soon pay more attention to sitting in the outside lane

@AyoKnight1 @RupertLowe10 Safe and in fact the safest thing to do on the motorways would be to remove all the “smart” variable limits that flash up suddenly and cause people to slam on as they’re scared of getting flashed by camera. I’d bet my life savings that 100mph and knowledge of unmarked cop cars
