@HoolyMcg @DitchburnNathan I agree. Legally they obviously don’t have the obligation under Force Majeure. But, if UAN is unavailable they could offer a substitution of urea at same $/kg N… out of good will

CSBP reneging on post seeding N now is starting to grate me up the wrong way. Are those buying from other fert companies still guaranteed their post seeding N or are we all in the same boat?

@ianmiles There couldn’t be any more evidence “breaking” shouldn’t be an Olympic sport

This woman lost to Raygun in Australia’s breakdancing qualifier for the Paris Olympics. Make it make sense. Could there be any more evidence that Raygun was picked for her DEI and grievance studies academic accolades?

@LeonCla28708846 Yes. Good company to deal with also. Have no experience with other makes though.

I’ve just heard on the ABC talkback radio, a bloke called in saying that D4-D is Dieldrin, and D4-D is Agent Orange, and Glyphosate replaced Dieldrin…🤯…I’m as confused as the talkback caller.

@BlakelyPaynter The oat yields plotted above are well below par. I’d question whether 60-70kg N is enough to achieve the oat yields many expect. However I do agree with your comment.

Someone asked me whether oats for grain respond the same way to N as barley—the answer is NO. In my experience, barley gains more grain yield with N application than oats. Implications - don't over-fertilise your grain oats. They don't need as much N as your barley.

@FarmerTonyWhite @Meat_Watcher @sedvitae Note the ‘farm profit indicator’ map is a percentile, not a $/ha. Comparing last year’s profit in each shire to years before, rather than across different zones/shires.

@Meat_Watcher @sedvitae I cant understand why your map shows the north and north east wheatbelt, red as well? We had 140 mm of rain fall and less in those areas. There is no way those areas in th SWest could make a worse profit. We hardly grew any crop at all!

@abclandline have massively (& mischievously) over-represented the niche/minority viewpoint in this article. Contrary to how it is presented, this is not a change to existing regulation or practice. And the evidence/science is with grain growers as well iview.abc.net.au/show/landline

The Albanese Government has just announced a $107 million plan to phase out live sheep exports by 1 May, 2028. Our plan delivers certainty for the sheep industry, better animal welfare and more jobs through value adding.

The suggestion on the @WACountryHour of a moratorium on the export of hay/fodder from WA is a terrible idea. Trumped only by the suggestion to graze state forests in order to alleviate the feed shortage (rather than prescribed burning).
