@SimpletonWill @bigseb31213 It is a fact that 1999 tax rates would cover the 2025 budget and yield a small surplus. We don't have to guess because we did have higher tax rates in the past and we can tell exactly what the effects of removing them were.

i'm not sure if the media has become entirely economically illiterate or just painfully dishonest, but this is simply not a useful way to discuss this. here's the reality: this will drop the CPI index to ~332.64. it ended last year at 326.03. this tiny drop after such large rises barely makes a dent. the aggreate price level is still higher than it was in april and is up 3.5% from a year ago.

The aggregate price level will not decline appreciably ever. That is why inflation is so insidious. M2 is still elevated. Government still running trillion dollar deficits. Central bankers fear deflation more than inflation, best we can hope for is dis-inflation (slowing the rate of growth of inflation).

@eric_seele Yes and Yes to answer your questions. Difference is I am a bit smarter with it and utilize more automation to streamline the process. Something that is becoming more widespread. You don't know what industry I work in.
