@russelldobular I can't believe the millionaires and billionaire with their palaces and islands, told Americans they are poor because of immigrants and Europeans and so many fucking idiots believed them.

@SimplyAShadow @avavroche @BladeoftheS It’s easy really. Capitalists believe in free markets with minimal government intervention. Socialists believe in controlled markets with extreme government control. It’s pretty clear which camp Nazis fell into.

Can we just get video games to be fucking video GAMES? Why does everything have to be a testing bed for shitty nvidia prototypes? Who gives a fuck that it looks photorealistic. All these movie "games" are getting annoying. Make shit fun instead, holy shit. I'd rather play something that looks like it crawled out of 2002 and have it be fun instead of whatever regurgitated photorealistic slop the majority of modern devs shit out.
NikTek@NikTek

Jensen Huang has responded to the comments calling DLSS 5 AI slop: "First of all, they're completely wrong. The reason for that is because, as I have explained very carefully, DLSS 5 fuses controllability of the geometry and textures and everything about the game with generative AI. It’s not post-processing, it’s not post-processing at the frame level, it’s generative control at the geometry level." He has also added: "This is very different than generative AI; it’s content-control generative AI. That’s why we call it neural rendering" What are your thoughts on this?

@JIntelgg The dialogue, the abruptness, the timing, the necklace, the reaction. Everything about this scene is peak comedy and somehow I'm meant to feel sad about the kid dying. They wrote this scene so well in the wrong way man I'm dying

@nixcraft When AI is doing badly it's your fault cause the prompt was wrong. The prompt is wrong because you need to be exact and very specific to get it as close as possible to what you need. So basically you have to have dev knowledge to use it right....and it can still be wrong. F

Welcome to year 3 of the "6 months until you're obsolete software developer" club. btw, it is also the 3 anniversary of the annual declaration that AGI is "just around the corner" -- shameless self appointed president of AI tech bros

russia didn’t liberate shit russia just replaced Nazi occupation and mass crimes with russian occupation and mass crimes russia has never liberated anyone, anywhere, ever Not a single person Not a single centimeter of land russia only brights pain, misery, torture and death
Otto Ozols@OttoOzols

Sometimes Putinists tell me that Latvia should be grateful to Russia for the liberation from Nazi occupation in 1944/45. I tell them I would be grateful, of course! It’s just that I can’t seem to find a free and independent Latvia on the map of Europe after 1945. Nor Lithuania and Estonia, for that matter

@bimbanbonmd @poxesfoxes Oh have we forgotten ww1, ww2, reconstruction, and the Soviet Union? Your luck we didn’t plant the flag last time we were there. People like you are making us rethink that decision.

Europe needs to immediately pursue electrification. We need solar, offshore and onshore wind, nuclear, and geothermal sources of energy. Pump billions into them, reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

@SimplyAShadow @tomfgoodwin NAS software like Unraid. Tons of docker software all free. Hell, even Adobe at $60 a month, can provide cost savings depending on your application use.

@MikeUntitled @tomfgoodwin Give me examples of software that was paid and now cost less, not general bullshit, like free software that is "free" for plethora of other reasons. Android has been "free" from the fucking start, either give actual examples or don't try this low effort bullshit.

Well let's not miss the or in there. - Video games have not increased with inflation - Android is literally with functionality not found anywhere else at zero cost - Free web hosting teirs are abundant with full panel management - Microsoft 365 comes with more storage and features than ever - Developer tools cost nothing - Navigation - Photo Apps - Google docs, sheets, etc became available for free - accounting software is cheaper. Then let's remove cost and just realize the efficiency in feature development has far outpaced what we pay, even areas where proce did rise. You have more functionality and software at your finger tips than ever before in history.

@tomfgoodwin Cost of software has decreased considerably. If it hasn't it maintained cost instead of inflating like everything else. Lets not look past the fact software is now in everything.

Dennis Ritchie created C in the early 1970s without Google, Stack Overflow, GitHub, or any AI ( Claude, Cursor, Codex) assistant. - No VC funding. - No viral launch. - No TED talk. - Just two engineers at Bell Labs. A terminal. And a problem to solve. He built a language that fit in kilobytes. 50 years later, it runs everything. Linux kernel. Windows. macOS. Every iPhone. Every Android. NASA’s deep space probes. The International Space Station. > Python borrowed from it. > Java borrowed from it. > JavaScript borrowed from it. If you have ever written a single line of code in any language, you did it in Dennis Ritchie’s shadow. He died in 2011. The same week as Steve Jobs. Jobs got the front pages. Ritchie got silence. This Legend deserves to be celebrated.

@jasonc_nc This is not random or him being vengeful about some windmill next to a golf course. Think money. If it's not about money its about even more money. Venezuela, Iran, all connected with energy. Him and his cabal can't control the wind and the sun, but they can oil and gas.
