@JustJenKing @sjsmail Not sure what it’s like now but Saturday morning it only took about 10-15 minutes of moving slowly (no queuing) to get across the border.
English

@Graemeinnes @sjsmail You only need to fill out a border pass. No need to get a covid test. My family and I just crossed the border from Kingscliff this way on Saturday.

@AllenKruse @ParentsFamily @TonyHWindsor @MarkMcGowanMP Many people have been banned from reuniting with WA family, and will now never get the chance as those family members have died. Hard border closures come at a big cost to many people who will never recover from not being able to say goodbye to loved ones. Not a simple situation
English

@ParentsFamily @TonyHWindsor @MarkMcGowanMP Many people in other states will never be able to reunite with family members - they are dead! Stop whingeing!

When it comes to backing racehorses I think I’ll back WA Premier @MarkMcGowanMP ....ridiculed and abused for protecting his people by his political opponents and Murdoch media.Ive never met you but I congratulate you for following Health advice.
English

@EmilyBruin1 So far my dad has been fine just showing his NHS (UK) vaccine certificate on the NHS app. We have only been in Kingscliff, NSW- not sure how we will go when we head into QLD.
English

@MelSoldier @ParentsFamily @karenandrewsmp More that they haven’t been processed yet. It’s taking a long time for a lot of people.
English

@ParentsFamily @karenandrewsmp Do you know how many visas have been approved? I know a couple…does this mean there are hundreds which have not been approved?
English

If only the 250+ #parentsareimmediatefamily who have put in for their visitor visas over a month ago could say the same thing! These visas shouldn't take as long to approve, it's completely unnecessary to make us all wait for even longer. @karenandrewsmp

It's great to see Australia's international border safely reopening, reuniting families and securing our economic recovery! Today, South Australia reopened to the world, 16 @AusBorderForce officers were at @AdelaideAirport to quickly process arriving international travellers.

@DavidCrisafulli @AnnastaciaMP Thanks so much for slipping that extra cost in for my family and me to see my dad after 2 years. Already got to pay for two weeks accommodation in NSW as you won’t let him enter QLD at 80%#disgraceful
English

@adventure_ali_ @MartySilkHack I rang the fever clinic at Tweed Hospital a couple of weeks ago and they said it’s free for everyone 🤔 We have known for a while that international arrivals can enter QLD after two weeks in another state (post 17th December) Confused why she is announcing it today?
English

@MartySilkHack Yeah nah.
I wonder how long that's going to last when, surprise!, no one wants to go to Queensland.
English

@Claudia1111978 @folzey @karenandrewsmp @AusBorderForce @ScottMorrisonMP Such good news. What a relief 😅
English

@folzey @Claudia1111978 @karenandrewsmp @AusBorderForce @ScottMorrisonMP It literally just got granted- I’m so happy 😀
English

@folzey @Claudia1111978 @karenandrewsmp @AusBorderForce @ScottMorrisonMP That’s great news! Hope mine arrives soon- I applied 26th October

So far ~10% of our #parentsareimmediatefamily has been able to reunite! WHY? Because visas aren't being issued! This despite the fact that our parents have received their #travelexemption ! @karenandrewsmp @AusBorderForce @ScottMorrisonMP @florezcata

English

@folzey @Claudia1111978 @karenandrewsmp @AusBorderForce @ScottMorrisonMP When I rang Home Affairs they told me people with exemptions were being prioritised but it’s rubbish as they are granting visas to people who haven’t even had chance to apply for one after submitting their visa request.
