Me: "My daughter won't be in school for the next 2 weeks. We are doing a tour of some National Parks". Teacher: "No, that won't work - that is too long to be away". Me: .... Teacher: .... Me: "I am informing you that she wont be here for the next 2 weeks".... She was far ahead of the class on everything. A tour of 5 USA national parks was far better than whatever "10 reasons you were probably born in the wrong body" lessons they had planned.

I excused my daughter’s absence from school today, but it was denied. How are you going to tell me, the parent, that the reason I allowed my child to stay home isn’t accepted?
