@JohnTitorVT Gamers just want to hop in and game, not read a bunch of tooltips to navigate a menu, it should be intuitive

We need to have a serious conversation about the emergent fact that a significant plurality of Gamers can not read. Like they straight up WILL NOT process the tool tip that tells you where to find everything even if you highlight it in bright blue after doing so with all previous tool tips and manadatory settings screens in the the tutorial and setup pages lmao, maybe the yellow paint people were right

here's an actual real time realistic 3D ocean simulation I wrote a few years ago without AI just by reading some papers. maybe someday Gemini can catch up to 30 year old rendering tech
Deedy@deedydas

Wow, Gemini 3.1 Pro just crushed one of my test problems no other model could solve. "Write a photorealistic 3D ocean simulation" 3D graphics is extremely hard. It has to encode 9-10 techniques based in physics. Being off by just 1 number can lead to bonkers results

@tekno_cool @past_bed_time @MachCoyote The post this is retweeting is talking about killing borderless, do you want devs to go back to their old games and update them to remove functionality? The suggestion is absurd

@past_bed_time @MachCoyote you cant just say critiques of borderless are null because modern games use modern tech, old(er) games/games just not using dx12 still exist and are very widely played, and it's still an issue in those. the op here is exaggerating but your reply is too

@ottrTweets UE5 is legit amazing, I just think a lot of devs use its tools to skip optimizing for performance and rely on DLSS and frame gen etc, genuinely don't think it's a UE5 thing DLSS should not be the standard, it should be a bonus imo

Highguard brings a unique spin to modern shooters to the genre. Unfortunately it also brings Unreal Engine 5 to the table as well

I am working on a bunch of projects, including implementing a bunch of simulation stuff in Unity to better visualize the behavior of mice, monitors, etc. so I can explain stuff like DPI, polling, frametime, refresh rate, how gsync/vsync work, etc. I really dislike working in silence so I would love to stream myself coding this stuff or running tests with the LDAT/high fps camera, and so on, but I keep pondering on whether my twitch channel who has historically been about me gaming/grinding would be the right place to do it. What do you guys think? Is this a "make a new channel and hang out with a couple viewers" type of thing?

this isn't to the naked eye. In his post it's literally one frame of the video at 60fps, which means that he managed to send ONLY the EXACT necessary mouse data within that 16.6ms window and NOTHING MORE because he also has no extra movement, which clearly is astronomically improbable without tampering at some level of the pipeline. This video is just fake and its goal is to misinform people, or rage bait (which one, @tom_nuke1?), but having someone that works in the industry corroborate that this can be done purely by mechanical means doesn't help.

@bardozVAL @notTerabyte @tom_nuke1 I did in no way mean to imply this was viable in a match and without settings I'd never use, nor consider the fact he shot at the same time. I just know when I do what I described with a very high sens it looks like a one frame flick to the naked eye, nothing more

Yes let’s ignore that you also have to make sure that the click actuation happens EXACTLY in the same packet or within +- very few packets as the sensor’s MOT register reporting the motion, since once that happens, unless one is cheesing it (like this post in some way) by artificially lowering framerate, the timer starts: your usb xhci will get DATA when it sends its next IN to your mouse, and then it’s surfaced to the game via rawinput within less than a millisecond, and you have to make sure the EXACT click AND perfect amount of mouse packets so that count*sens*m_yaw (and pitch) amount to EXACTLY the rotation in radians to snap to the head. Even at 60fps you only have 16.6ms window of time for this to happen or you cross the frame boundary and the rotation will happen across multiple frames. Also you need your arm for what you’re suggesting to be so ridiculously precise (and your mcu not to implement any sleep mechanism when lifting, which for example is a thing on logitech mice), so that you don’t overdo it by being on the mousepad for too long “at top speed”. Does no one really understand how this isn’t possible unless one is specifically changing something on the game side to specifically have an unplayable setup? Is the point of these posts just to misinform people?

dude deadlock gets everything leaked all the time, even on private experimental servers this whole hardware announcement has been known for months, hell people even knew what DAY it was gonna be on
Rod Breslau@Slasher

Valve has historically had the fewest major leaks of any big technology/games company I can think of by virtue of having no social media team, no PR, and famously a singular communications person that is harder to get a response from than your great grandpa via ouija board
