@heelvsbabyface Yet another post asking this question that they NEVER reply to. I've seen this asked 7 times today, not a single response from them, because they KNOW they didn't show up to support it but they want to blame us so bad

Let's play this wankers game. Let's say that "right wing haters" didn't watch the show, where are all the "left wing lovers"? It could barely chart on Paramount+ own Top 10 never mind even thinking about Neilson. You want to play the blame game but even a lot of leftists found this show insufferable WANK. So cope harder.

Right-wing haters killed something that was objectively amazing. Starfleet Academy had one of the best first seasons of any Trek show. Period. These anti-woke losers would’ve had a stroke at Riker rizzing up non-binary aliens in TNG. Star Trek has always been progressive.

@novakspector I've never watched star trek but I've been watching old shows recently as the new shows are generally pretty bad, what's a good one to start with?

If the choice is between no Star Trek shows ever being made again and seeing Starfleet full of ugly queer tards crying about their identities where the women are fat old lesbians and a fruity Klingon who wears dresses, I will choose no Star Trek shows ever again.

@IfIWereMagneto Its funny that the people who seem upset about the cancelation all seem to be over the top LGBT people more interested in that than the show

I’m very much disappointed they cancelled Starfleet Academy, I really fell in love with these characters and I thought the newcomers were doing a great job. It may be over but they are still here and they have their place. This show and its cast deserved better.

Of course #StarfleetAcademy was cancelled due to the massive outpouring of negative reviews from conservative whiners who didn’t even watch the show. Par for the course in 2026.

@LtHarcrow That doesn’t make sense …. If it was just the conservatives that didn’t watch where was the new lefty audience that the show was written for ? If they had shown up, just like dr who a 3rd season would have happened

@AhmedBaba_ Right-wingers must be a huge majority then. Just a small niche market can keep a show alive. Must not be enough woke-libs to save it. That's very encouraging. Perhaps social media isn't real life.

@therealtau26104 @TheTrekCentral You don’t realize that people actually want no Star Trek for five or 10 years right? Give the IP time to be missed, and bring in a new team to go in a different direction. A clean house is needed in both the show-runner, and writers.

@HPNews_Germany Seems like unnecessary filler tbh, I mean I get that it's different but I don't really see value of showing her at home unless its to reassure the audience that she has white ancestry. We should first see her when she gets on the train.

In a perfect world… yes 100% of everyone’s calories would come from natural “real food” But if it were that easy, 80% of our population wouldn’t be overweight. If convenient protein sources like these make it EASIER for someone to FINALLY achieve a healthy body weight… There are FEW decisions on the PLANET that would be better than that.

Having read the whole thing... The primary protagonist of the article, a 66-year old woman doing one of the most notoriously difficult trails in a 2-week hike of approx 20 miles/day at altitude in difficult terrain, was probably overpacked and unprepared. The time he left her "to test her" was on an easier section of the trail that she could follow. She barely made it. He told her to quit, for her own safety. She refused, in her own words, because she wanted to get closer to the end before quitting. She put herself and him at risk by continuing. He can't make her quit. He should have refused to go with her at the start, but he didn't. So when she finally realized she had to go back, he sent her back. She wanted to be coddled and carried on one of the most difficult trails, 222 miles in the wilderness, at altitude, and she wasn't, and as a woman, that bothered her. Yet if she completed it, with his help, she would have done it all by herself. I got into some long hikes with my then-gf that she wasn't capable of. It slowed me down, and we did two 14ers that she wasn't able to complete, and therefore I wasn't able to complete because I stayed with her. So I stopped taking her on stuff like that. So then she went with her girl friends and slowed them down and prevented them from finishing peaks, but if they were okay with that then that was up to them. On one of those adventures, after failing to complete the summit and preventing at least one of her friends from doing so, she blamed me for loaning her a pack that had too much capacity, so she put too much in it. In retrospect, she told me a story of doing a famous, difficult 14er that many people take one shot at. She was, of course, unprepared for the challenge and rigor and didn't make it. She told me the story of how she got left behind while her friends went to the summit without her and she struggled to get back down and eventually someone else from another group helped her. I guess I should have heeded that story as a warning. And I'm sure that with this term "alpine divorce" coming up, she's retelling that story over and over. I doubt she's telling the stories of the two that we didn't get to finish - that *I* didn't get to finish - because I stayed with her rather than leave her behind. The harsh reality of most of these is that the women are way WAY over their heads, by their own choosing. They're not capable and they end up getting left behind on something they should never have done in the first place.
