Spain has deployed its Army to directly repel the invasion. They are using pepper spray. They are not messing around. What happened to the ECHR - to which Spain is a signatory? Even Spain’s far left government is using troops to defend its border using force. The very thing Tory and Labour governments have told us is impossible.

Almost everyone who entered Ceuta yesterday has now returned to Morocco. It is not possible to travel from Ceuta or Melilla to mainland Spain without presenting identification at a police checkpoint. The integrity of the Schengen area is fully guaranteed.

Half of it devoted to the 60 000 who have crossed into Ceuta but 𝐧𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 whatsoever they've practically all gone back to Morocco already !
No wonder Reform spreads, unchallenged, its "they're all coming here" narrative (see Suella Braverman's tweet whipping up the anger, claiming right on cue that "most of them are heading to the UK !")
I mean, really @BBCNewsnight ? You go out live and the fact they've practically all gone back to Morocco already has been out there since early evening !
