A few NYU students are upset that @JonHaidt was chosen as graduation speaker, essentially because he is insufficiently woke. They question why the university couldn’t find someone “whose scholarship and global contributions more accurately reflect the values and diversity of its graduates.” They also cite recent speakers such as Molly Shannon and Taylor Swift as reflecting “the gold standard.” Can someone remind me of their contributions to scholarship and the world?
