@NickX32077586@grok Thought you could tag grok like that and get answers but apparently not. It ended at 12 o'clock but rank might not reset before the next season starts
@SpIendidVision@AnimexTwts If you press the green button without already being very well off, you are a major dimvit. 1 million usd can easily be used to make you rich for a lifetime, risking that for a 50% chance at getting 50x is really dumb.
@AnimexTwts As a probability expression the red button has an expected value of $1m, while the green button has an expected value of $50m. Without a doubt any person should choose the Green button over the Red button. You'd have to be extremely risk adverse to choose the red button.
@Elodiepak If there is one thing that could be said to be the meaning of life, it is having kids. I suspect I am not alone in the feeling of life slipping away and losing meaning for people past 30 with a seemingly low chance of ever having kids.
@exitIiquidty@AdrianoFeria Sure, but we should still warn people when they are on a train hurtling towards a cliff. Especially when the drivers refuse to acknowledge the cliff and repair the breaks.
@AdrianoFeria There’s room for both BTC and ETH
They’re not competing with each other, they’re complementing each other.
BTC is digital gold.
ETH is the oil / computer of the internet
Blackrock knows diz
ETH time will come (my bets on Mid December)
Bitcoin is a "fake it until you make it" investment at best, and at worst it's a ponzi scheme.
It literally requires significant changes in the code and/or an exponential increase of demand in order for the it to continue working properly.
Anyone who has studied Bitcoin knows this to be true, but they omit as much data as possible in order to downplay this dynamic.
@AdrianoFeria It is scary how many people they have managed to convince without addressing the outsized returns of large miners and the fact that at some point when block rewards vary enough it will be mandatory to be large enough to steal blocks in order to be profitable.
@mayurzzz@RyanSAdams Sold 75% of my eth in May, after having held for 7 years because I didn't find a good answer to this question. We have the infra now. It's time to focus on real-world use cases
@sassal0x I wish I could, but all I see is focus on infra and non on apps that improve people's lives in the real world.
Still hopeful, but my conviction has fallen greatly after 7 years of being a hyper bull.
A call to action for Ethereans:
Be more publicly bullish on Ethereum and ETH!
Talk about what excites you about Ethereum, what you're looking forward to, and why you love this community.
Screw the haters - don't let them stop you from bullposting.
Ethereum is good 🫡
@sjdedic Sold 75% of my crypto in May after holding since summer 2017 for because of this. Couldn't handle another crash after having lost most of my belief in the ecosystem. At least in the short term(<10 years).
I’ve been deeply involved in crypto 24/7 for over seven years now.
Memecoins are, in my opinion, the worst thing to happen to this space, ever.
For the first time, I can genuinely understand why outsiders view this industry with so much skepticism.
And for the first time, I don’t feel the same passion and excitement for it that I used to.
Something needs to change asap.
