That's one helluva spread for Jazz vs. Thunder 🏀 Our model says it’s around 3-points too high. Could you bet the Jazz, at a huge 61.7% probability, to cover the 24?

Ange Postecoglou finished 5th in his first season playing attacking football that had fans believing again. What did he ask for? More key players to push into the top 4 and beyond. What did he get? 1 senior signing and a collection of promising but unproven teenagers.

If you look at the posts from official Tottenham account where they announce Ange’s sacking, the overwhelming majority of replies are condemning the decision of the club. In fact, all fans, even aside from Tottenham fans, agree that it was a gutless, and the wrong decision to sack Ange. Players were also left baffled, as they clearly loved Ange, going off their posts, and the way they played under him. Similarly, managers alike in the premier league were equally shocked and surprised to see Postecoglou sacked. Dare I say, the decision to sack Postecoglou is the most baffling one a club has made in footballing history. Regarding the context, and Ange having won Tottenham their first trophy in 17 years, first European trophy in 41 years with one of the biggest injury crisis in history, you’d feel Postecoglou should’ve at least gotten a chance. Even the Tottenham fans that were happy he was sacked and wanted Frank in are admitting that Ange was massively overachieving and should’ve remained at Spurs. It’s the most unexplainable decision in football history.

This was the epitome of my time supporting Tottenham Hotspur. Football, is a sport where you aim to win. Managers are employed to win football matches and/or silverware dependant on their respective clubs. Another unspoken goal of a manager is to unite the fanbase. During difficult times, a manager/leader is generally one to invoke hope and faith in the supporter/other employers minds. Tottenham Hotspur, a club notoriously bullied and teased for not having won a trophy in quite a significant amount of time, and also a club with a rotten, and disappointed fanbase with how things had gone over the last few years, were rightfully craving a trophy. Following appoints such as Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Nuno, Antonio Conte, and others alike, the club was dumbfounded and left itself in disarray with both the fans, and the playing staff/former coach Antonio Conte. In the summer of 2023/24, Ange Postecoglou was appointed as head coach of Tottenham Hotspur. Ange was widely renouned as a serial winner, winning trophies throughout his tenures, in Australia, Japan, and more recently, Scotland. Ange wasn’t necessarily known in the premier league, hence he was doubted, and doubted, and doubted. However, he, unlike many of his predecessors, had something to prove. To the footballing world, Ange was still a nobody. He took it upon himself to promise the fans a team that will play exciting football, and to his own words “be a team you can all get excited by.” He delivered on his promise, and Tottenham were off to a flying start, fans looked as connected as ever, and players looked to be enjoying themselves. Quite a contrast to previous years. Shift over around a year or so, and following many injuries and mismanagement, Tottenham Hotspur were in a dire situation. In February of 2025, Tottenham found themselves in 14th place, safe from relegation by 16 points, with the only hope of salvaging the season being winning the Europa League, a trophy Tottenham last won 41 years ago. Ange made the message clear, that the squad would only be focusing on the Europa League, and he said it from the start to the fans that he would deliver a trophy in his second season, keeping that excitement and the fans always smiling with hope in their hearts. We manage to keep a core group of players fit, and qualify for the Europa League final, following masterclasses at Frankfurt, and Bodo Glimt. Manchester United in the final. It was scary, everyone doubted us. But Ange? No. He never doubted us. Ever. He instilled into the players that they would deliver. Not just for themselves. But for us. Brennan Johnson. Earlier that season was bullied off social media by a select group of Tottenham players, came into that final and scored the winning goal. Not for himself, but for the fans. Those fans that abused him? Yes. Even they deserve this trophy, and this elation we all felt. As everyone knows, we won, and we all witnessed that euphoric trophy parade a few days after the final. One of the proudest days to call yourself a supporter of this great football club. Elation, absolutely everywhere. I’ve never seen our fanbase so united. And it was because of him, Ange Postecoglou. The man who was doubted by British media, and others alike, delivered for us, the supporters. Because we deserved this. And he was ready to deliver more, for us fans. He loved us, adored us, and still loves us to this day. The players, they still love him to this day. Yet, we sacked this manager that brought all of this elation to our faces. Some of the best moments in our lives supporting Tottenham Hotspur, everything Ange Postecoglou was appointed to do, he did. Winning. It’s no secret as to why we are doing as bad as we are doing right now. Players will leave, and once again the fan base is in absolute turmoil. That’s why everyone in football can agree, sacking Ange Postecoglou was the worst decision in football history.

Tottenham Hotspur have the 2nd best defensive record in the ENTIRE league. All this whilst generating the most xG in the entire league. And they don’t need to play 10 men behind the ball to do it. Not bad for someone “who can’t coach a defense”.

Binning Ange Postecoglou has worked out well for #Spurs 🤦🏻‍♂️ Sacking a manager that achieved two out of three main targets every top flight club in Europe would set for themselves is MADNESS. Win league ❌ Win trophy ✅ Secure Champions League ✅ You reap what you sow.

@RKTweets This was on Ange, which he’s basically admitted. The fault of the board was the arrogance of not realising when Frank wasn’t going to sort it.

Some won't like it, but losing sets in and becomes a negative momentum, much like winning can be. That started last year, the players are a mess and are used to losing. Injuries on top of that too make it even harder to stop this rot.

People thought the cultural issue at Spurs was failing to win trophies with a net spend which was nearly negative. Lmfao. The cultural issue is this team for two years has not seemed arsed about whether they win, lose or draw. Even newer players have lapsed - that’s the sign.

@VinceRugari Josh doing a Mitch Brown. They get addicted to the pats on the back and adulation while relevant, then, when the world moves on, they fire off some big statement to try and become relevant again. Mitch was clever, he’s going to make $$$ from it, but Josh has just burnt bridges.
