I'm being a bit dumb here but is it now normal to use Tesla FSD and basically quasi zone out for 15 hours, rather than be continually ready to take over, which must be as tiring as driving.
Nahuel Hilal - TattooGuy@nahuelhilal

Yesterday I drove my @tesla 900 miles on FSD from Miami to Nashville and I realized it’s genuinely the better option. I fly that route 2 to 3 times a month. Flights are never under $400. Most times $600. Sometimes $800. Add Uber to and from both airports, or parking garage fees. Then factor in the delays, the cancellations, the security theater, the chaos, the guy next to you who hasn’t met deodorant yet. On the other hand: I pack healthy snacks, press one button, and the car just goes. I took calls. Replied to emails. FaceTimed my family. Ate without pulling over. Did everything I normally do on a travel day, except none of the stuff that makes travel days miserable. My biggest concern going in was range and charging. Here’s what actually happened: My bladder needed one extra stop the car didn’t even suggest. Most charging stops were under five minutes. Total cost for the whole trip was less than just the uber to the airport. And this was the base model Y. Now I’m thinking I should get something comfier and just make this the default.

@Alfie_Schneider @rawespresso I did this. Slightly different, but stated at home until 26 whilst my friends lived in fancy rented flats. I bought a house at 26 and most of them moved home to save up.

@rawespresso We should destigmatise people staying at home as young adults. Staying home allows young people, even those working at minimum wage, to put enough money away for a deposit for their own first home.

1 in 3 UK adults aged 20-34 still live with their parents. That's around 4.9 million people. The size of Scotland. Stuck in their childhood bedrooms because the maths of moving out doesn't work anymore. A generation's worth of young adults housed by their parents - and the system that did this to them keeps telling them it's working.

@BitcoinFists @timdavies_uk No, you're not. If you crash into the back of a stationary car, you are always at fault. You've no idea whether the hazards were on or not.

@timdavies_uk Guarantee that car didn’t have hazards nor their brake lights on either. If you come to a halt in the fast lane you’re at fault 100%.

@KeruboSk Go 70/30 then? He's being unreasonable saying its only in his name, but not unreasonable in not going 50/50.

My boyfriend and I are planning to buy a house together after dating for 3 years. He earns significantly more than I do, so he’d be contributing about 70% of the down payment. Because of that, he wants the house to be only in his name. He says it’s just “fair” based on the numbers, but we’d both be living there, splitting bills, and building a life together. I’ve been watching a lot of relationship content about equity vs equality, and it made me realize things don’t always have to be 50/50 but this feels like I’d have no security at all. He said if we ever broke up, he’d “do the right thing,” but that doesn’t really reassure me. My friends say don’t move in unless my name is on it. His friends apparently think I’m being entitled. Now I feel stuck between trusting him and protecting myself. Is this a red flag I’m trying too hard to rationalize?

@SophieP25397 You always turn to your uncle in every single example when he is an extreme case. Most people want benefits cut for "relatively" moderate mental health conditions.

🚨 NEW: Zack Polanski suggests Donald Trump is worse than Vladimir Putin “As horrendous as Putin is… I’ve never seen him threaten genocide. I've never seen him threaten to wipe out a civilization… Starmer’s so-called special relationship is more of a danger than what Putin is doing in Ukraine” [@antoguerrera]

It's not climate change. The falling birth rates is actually the biggest problem that humanity faces right now. How do we solve this and encourage people to have more children? Give me your best ideas 👇

The UK government has recently backed 3 Small Modular Reactors from Rolls Royce and it’s one of the smartest strategic moves we’ve made in years. This isn’t a short term fix. It’s homegrown nuclear capability, 8,000 skilled jobs, and long term energy security. SMRs are faster to build, cheaper than traditional plants, and scalable. But let’s be honest, 3 isn’t enough. If we’re serious, we should be targeting 20–25 reactors, scaling rapidly and positioning the UK as a net energy exporter. We have the engineering talent. We have the demand. We have the company to deliver it. The UK doesn’t need to follow, we can become a global energy powerhouse.

Should be standard after 6 months of not finding employment. Into the community you go, to work for your benefits - 4 hours. The rest of the time should be spent looking for a job
𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫@Matt_Pinner

“Genuine question… If someone is claiming benefits and is able to work, is it really unreasonable to ask them to do a few hours a week helping the community? Even something simple like litter picking or cleaning up local parks.” What are your Thoughts?

The UC system is so stupid. UC will restrict your benefits if you move in with someone. Not if your legally married, but if you're with a partner. The state won't distinquish between a frend, FWB, a relationship or marriage.
Samantha 🇵🇸@arcuaria

This genuinely is upsetting ngl. A criminal record, unable to claim any more money for herself and her kids, and has to pay it back? For the crime of not relying on her partner for financial support.
