Just played about 3 hours of Crisol and, wow. I went in mostly for the aesthetic and because it’s made by Spaniards (hi, it’s me), fully expecting to bounce since I’m not a horror person. Instead, I got a game that’s unique, visually stunning, and genuinely fun. It’s simple and doesn’t pretend otherwise, and that works. Beautiful environments, creepy but gorgeous enemy design, great music, and surprisingly compelling lore. You can feel the BioShock DNA, but Crisol puts its own spin on it. Did not expect this. Can’t wait to play more.
