We're genuinely getting into the era of "You will own nothing and be happy with it" EA/Activision started this "No hosted servers" stuff and now it's spreading with tons of money behind it. I would argue most of Minecraft's major media success is due to hosted servers. It's incredibly stupid that Microsoft is moving to set this as precedent and make this a thing in the industry. 700% increases on ram pricing driving everything up, hosted servers being banned, 'borrowing' licenses being pushed. Can't wait til it's 10k to buy a mid range laptop Gotta get louder and start causing way more drama and push back against this stuff.

Leadership failed the game. Leadership made awful decisions. Keep fucking reminding people and don't let them settle down into another cushy job in another company/IP/game they can fuck up. Do. Not. Let. People. Forget. Their. Bullshit. The devs didn't deserve this. Fans didn't. Game didn't. Studio didn't. I 100%, fully encourage and will personally be shit flinging towards the people responsible if they try to take their bag and leave to another project after causing all this. (Leadership responsible, not the devs. DO NOT HARASS THE DEVS. Help them) This doesn't mean threats. Do NOT do that. This just means making their name so toxic no studio will hire the people responsible back due to fears of backlash. Vocalize. Be loud.
