I try to stay optimistic in racing, both as an industry employee and horse owner, but the last 12 months are making it increasingly difficult. Today, our filly Unfaithful Rose was ordered scratched by the state stewards in Florida from a stake race at Tampa. Why? Because despite our trainer (who ran a horse in the Kentucky Derby last year) submitting all his paperwork for Florida licensing in the timeframe requested and despite them having all the documentation since Thursday, an employee in the racing state agency’s licensing office never put through the verification on his finger prints and thus because of their incompetence, the stewards scratched our filly. Meanwhile, Ethan West is the epitome of what you want in a horse trainer. A decade of training, not a single positive test, an honest and true horsemen. Our ownership group, deeply committed to aftercare, has routinely given away horses to families rather than drop them in for a cheap tag, is comprised of “little guys” trying to do the best we can for our horses. We shipped this filly from Kentucky to Florida and she was 3-1 on the morning line with a real chance in the race. Not to mention we have about 10 owners who traveled down to Florida for the race. I am absolutely flabbergasted and beyond discouraged by all of this. They should be ashamed of themselves for punishing us for their own incompetence. In an economic climate where small stables and owners are struggling to survive, this is how we are treated? Absolutely shameful. @TampaBayDownsFL @florida_horse @thoroughcrowd

@JurjevicMilan @Garnet_2203 To be fair, idgaf what a hospital looks like on the outside. If I'm getting timely and quality healthcare inside, thats what matters. Lets be honest though, Canadians aren't getting anything close to timely, quality healthcare.

Shockingly, this is at a hospital in the GTA. Let me be very clear, this is NOT the fault of nurses, PSWs, or cleaning staff. They are doing everything they can to hold together a public health care system that is being pushed to its limits. This is what happens when public health care is underfunded. I’m a senior. I paid into public health care my entire life. My parents relied on it and they received quality, dignified care. So why are we being asked to accept less from the same public health care system today? What changed? Years of cuts. And let’s be honest since Doug Ford was elected, it’s been cut after cut after cut to public health care system. • Hospital funding not keeping up with inflation • Staffing shortages across public health care • Wage caps on nurses and health care workers (Bill 124) • Burnout driving people out of public health care • ER closures due to lack of staff • Expansion of private clinics instead of strengthening public health care And now we’re seeing the consequences. A public health care system stretched beyond capacity. Hallway medicine. Long wait times. Exhausted staff doing everything they can to keep our health care functioning. This is not a failure of workers. This is a failure to protect out healthcare. And instead of rebuilding public health care, Doug Ford is moving toward privatized delivery that only serves his rich friends and family. And we’re seeing the same thing in our Public Education. Cut. Underfund. Strain the system. We should not accept that. We don’t need less public health care. We need to fund it, protect it, and rebuild it. Because every Canadian no matter their income deserves strong, reliable public health care. This is about dignity. This is about fairness. This is about the future of public health care in this country.

Looks like extortion has made its way to Alberta. “Following the fire, the body of 59-year-old Mai Diab, who has been identified as a local dentist” Ok so they lit the house on fire after, likely robbed her. “Investigators said they came to believe that Diab was specifically targeted for financial gain.” Yep there it is, stole everything and lit the house on fire afterwards. “officers arrested 44-year-old Edmonton resident Mouhamad Fadi Orfahly and charged him with first-degree murder.” We all knew it was one of the retarded Mouhamad’s. They don’t have the IQ to come up with different names due to inbreeding I suspect. “a second suspect, 43-year-old Mahmoud Ali Abdallah Mansour, was arrested in Toronto.” Yep, another inbred that should never be here. “He has been charged with indignity to human remains and being an accessory to murder after the fact” The dude fucked a dead woman. They will be out on bail in a few days and will both fly back to India leaving Canadians with their debt. Canada is so retarded.

In the case of Air Canada’s CEO, we have now been waiting for twenty years. He lives in Quebec. His wife is francophone. He leads a company that is subject to the Official Languages Act. Five years ago, in Montreal, he delivered a speech entirely in English and promised he would learn French. More than 400 hours of tutoring later, he is still at “bonjour” and “merci.” I believe we have been patient. Very patient. But at some point, respect for a language, for the law, and for the country cannot be optional. It must be real, concrete, and upheld.

🚨 Brookfield just defaulted on ANOTHER loan Republic Plaza in Denver: $230 million Only 65% leased and LOSING TENANTS. This is the SECOND time they’ve defaulted on the same building. They defaulted in 2022, got the loan extended in an “extend and pretend” deal, and just defaulted AGAIN. Last year they sold two other Denver towers at a $340 MILLION loss. Their Wells Fargo Center has been in receivership since 2023 This is Brookfield: The company Mark Carney chaired The same company that: -Registered $25 BILLION in funds in Bermuda while Carney was chairman -Was called “Canada’s top tax dodger” by the Center for International Corporate Tax Accountability -Has dozens of subsidiaries in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and Malta -Is being SUED by the CRA for alleged tax evasion -Moved its headquarters from Toronto to New York under Carney’s watch -Bought up affordable housing, evicted tenants, and jacked up rent They can’t pay their own loans, but they figured out how to dodge billions in taxes from a mailbox in Bermuda. And the man who oversaw all of it? He’s the Prime Minister now. Setting YOUR tax policy & how he gets to spend it. Trudeau 2.0

@wealthmoose How many Canadians have claimed bankruptcy due to healthcare? How many have passed on life saving care because their insurance wouldn’t cover it, and they couldn’t afford it? If you need an emergency MRI, they will get you in. I know, I needed one along with major surgery.

🚨🇨🇦 Ontario residents are now flying to the U.S. for private MRIs. A Canadian-owned clinic in Buffalo is happily taking their money. That’s “universal healthcare” in Canada: • Pay high taxes • Wait months • Then leave the country to get treated When waitlists are longer than flight times, “free healthcare” is just a slogan ..not a system. This isn’t compassion. It’s government-run rationing with better branding.🧐 @fordnation @MarkJCarney #Canada #healthcare #Cdnpoli #Onpoli

Unbelievable tragedy for Air Canada and all Canadians. My thoughts are with friends who are Air Canada employees on this terrible day, and the families of the pilots who were killed, and injured passengers. We need answers. We know Trump has ruined flight safety in the US so I'm betting this is a direct result of bad Trump policies and not the fault of the pilots. But that's just a hunch. Time will tell. My point is, can we trust air crash investigations led by Americans under this deeply corrupt administration that lies all the time when it suits them?

@archaix138 Grok solves this for all you conspiracy theorists x.com/i/status/20358…
Grok@grok

The official LA County Medical Examiner report (Aug 2022, updated Dec 2022 autopsy) states Anne Heche was alive at the scene after her Aug 5 crash into a house, which caused a fire. She suffered severe smoke inhalation, thermal burns (12% body surface), anoxic brain injury, and a sternal fracture. No declaration of death occurred pre-ambulance; she was transported critical but alive to hospital, declared brain dead Aug 11, life support ended later for organ donation. Cause: accident. The still shows her on a stretcher wrapped in a white burn sheet (standard for thermal protection, not a body bag—those are typically black/yellow). Brief sitting/movement is documented in trauma videos and explained by medics as reflexive agonal response, adrenaline surge, or pain reaction common in severe burn/shock cases, even if overall unconscious. Paramedics secured her to prevent self-harm or falls. Probability she was alive pre-ambulance: effectively 100% per all records, first-responder accounts, and helicopter/live footage timelines. No source claims death at scene. Theories on "taken out": No evidence supports foul play. Autopsy found no active impairing drugs (cocaine metabolites only from prior use). Conspiracy claims (e.g., silencing over her trafficking-themed film "Girl in Room 13," or Ellen links) lack proof and were debunked by PolitiFact/Vice reviews of timelines. Best-supported: tragic high-speed crash (her third that morning) from erratic driving tied to her documented mental health history, leading to unsurvivable injuries.

A family from Brampton thought they’d found the perfect shortcut, dumping a mountain of household trash in a quiet Ontario cornfield. They thought they were being slick—until they realized they’d left behind shipping labels with their full address printed right on them. The farmer who discovered the mess wasn’t looking for a legal battle; he preferred a more personal delivery. He loaded their garbage into his tractor’s front-end loader and drove straight to their suburban driveway. When he knocked, a woman answered and quickly tried to play it cool, denying she was the person named on the packages. But the plan fell apart when a younger girl stepped to the door. The farmer pointed to a discarded toy in the pile and asked, “Is that your stuffed animal?” The girl’s honest nod was all the confirmation he needed. Out of the kindness of his heart, the farmer tipped the loader, returning every bit of the family’s junk right onto their doorstep. The lesson is clear: you can try to outsmart a farmer, but you’ll never outwork one. 🚜 Don’t mess with the people who feed you!
