So she knew you for thirty years and all of a sudden decided that you had moral differences? You didn’t. She used this phrase as gaslighting to justify her point of view when a debate based on reason and logic was not an option for her. She was willing to throw away three decades of camaraderie for a stranger she never met. That showed your value to her. Sounds like the woke mind virus killed the friend you knew. Birthday greeting not deserved at least in my opinion.

A few months ago my “best friend” of nearly 30 years decided we can’t be friends because I didn’t mourn Renee Good. She claimed we had “moral differences”. Prior to that, we obviously knew we had differences in politics but just didn’t discuss politics. She ended our last conversation saying she was going to talk to her therapist and I never heard from her again. It’s her birthday today. I want to tell her I love her (even if our politics aren’t the same), I want to wish her happy birthday, I want to catch up on what’s been going on in our lives. But I can’t do that because of a crazy lady who tried to run over an ICE agent with a smile on her face and I apparently needed to side with her to be morally just. The left has taken so many people from me. I may swallow my pride and text her happy birthday, but I also feel like she really crossed boundaries and maybe our book is finally just closed for good.

Let me guess…Judge Linda grew up upper middle class in a two-parent household, never been a victim of crime, lives in an affluent neighborhood with her wife and adopted pets, a proud vegan, drives a Subaru (or EV) with a virtue signaling bumper sticker, frequents fundraisers for leftist political candidates and then returns to her house with a security system and local police patrol. Of course I could be wrong…stereotypes and all.

BREAKING - A San Francisco Superior Court judge, Linda Colfax, has suspended the already light eight year sentence of Antoine Watson, a black man who killed an 84 year old man in an unprovoked 2021 attack, citing his “traumatic childhood” as justification for her ruling.

@real_doc_speaks One issue is difficulty in being accepted forcing a lot of American citizens to go abroad for medical schools (Caribbean is a common destination) and return to the US for Steps and residency. They are categorized as an FMG but are citizens.

True. Would add that too many people went into Medicaid over the last several years (maybe even last decade) to the point it cannot sustain itself. Medicaid enrollment reached a record peak of 94.4 million in April 2023 which was a 30% growth since February 2020. (Yes, COVID-19 "continuous coverage" requirement was a factor). Not only Medicaid reimbursements are low, they have continued to be cut through the years and will continue to be cut as it would bankrupt otherwise. That’s why most private offices do not accept it. A good example of this is the NYS insurance profile changes in the last twenty years. Medicaid enrollment surged by 28% in just three years (2020-2023) reaching over 7.8 million New Yorkers statewide. This is just one State.

Medicaid payments don't come close to matching commercial insurance payments. So an American graduate with $400,000 of debt should practice in rural Kentucky for what reason? Medicaid expansion post Obamacare made access to elective medical care worse, not better.
Anish Koka, MD@anish_koka

Just like American medical graduates , IMGs seek to escape rural poor areas as quickly as possible.. which is why despite allowing IMG galore into the US and allowing non physicians to practice without a medical license the rural poor access problem continues. If serving the poor was the main motivation for IMGs, why wouldn’t they serve the rural poor in their own countries that are significantly worse off?

Dangerous territory. All it takes is one angry boy parent to hire a lawyer and charge your sister (and anyone who assisted like making copies) with dissemination of child pornography if any of the dick pics belong to anyone under age 18. Willingly sending it to begin with is not a defense; it’s the dissemination of the picture that’s charged.

Kamala had a $1.5 billion war chest for a reason. Did people really believe it accumulated from the $25 retirees’ donations? Was Tim Waltz picked for VP due to his charm, intellect and world travel? Or because his State ran a huge fraud scheme using immigrants? That money was funneled to more than one place.

@MyLordBebo Because they need people to go fight. The young men are either dead or ran away to another country. They already sent the men from other ethnic groups living in Ukraine to the war. Only the older and ill are left. Supposedly they even sent a man with Down Syndrome to the front.

@RezaC1 According to the NYC Mayor, violence is an artificial construction. Math was deemed to be a tool of white supremacy according to educators in “A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction.” No need to calculate or analyze statistics in NYC as it won’t make a difference to its voters.

People with schizophrenia are much more likely to kill themselves than anyone else, be more likely to be victimized and tend to remain highly isolated and avoid interactions. There’s a cognitive burden with the illness that impacts executive functioning including self care. This video shows a young male dressed appropriately who moved with precision and purpose. Not disorganized and lashing out. He waited for the subway and timed the push which required executive functioning. I encourage you to follow this case and confirm for yourself that the assailant will likely have Antisocial Personality Disorder and/or drug use history and not schizophrenia. He pushed this man because he wanted to. Stop excusing depraved behavior by using a serious illness like schizophrenia as a scapegoat. As a side note, psychosis does NOT automatically meet criteria for schizophrenia.

What if he suffered from undiagnosed schizophrenia etc or something and at the time thought that guy was a hit man going to kill his family? And now treated and medicated he can’t even remember doing it ? Not a gotcha question just curious if there would be any scenario at all that would make you reconsider just executing them without knowing everything that could be going on.

@FranklNZ @luxemiaa That would be preferred by many. However, the ingrained US tipping culture is such that restaurants have been calculating tipping as a given part of their compensation. Cost inclusion in prices would be pretty much impossible to implement unless everyone decides to do it.

A woman on Instagram said: My husband and I go out to dinner and order lobster dishes at $50 each and the table next to us order burgers at $15 each. Why do we have to leave a bigger tip than the other table when we had the same waitress and got the same service?
