Don Cherry for the Order of Canada? As I told Rick Bell, that's an enthusiastic yes from me. If you agree as well, share this post 👍 and read my full comment here: calgaryherald.com/opinion/column…

@Luclevfarm @david_parker Curious if there’s a specific reason why you don’t support independence, or if it’s mainly nostalgia of an older Canada. I run a small family ranch and so fed up with liberal decisions I can’t take it anymore, but I am sad for the Canada used to be

@david_parker Wow thats a crazy post even for David Parker. I’m against Alberta independence but I don’t consider myself a leech or a parasite. I’m even what David’s crowd would consider one of their own; White, straight, rural, farmer, conservative. Maybe I need some self reflection?

If all the Alberta Independence supporters left Alberta, the entire province would collapse into poverty. The people supporting Alberta Independence are the productive members of society. Those advocating for staying in Canada are leeches and parasites.

@LongTplexTrader And they’re the same people who have turned on Wayne Gretzky and Don Cherry. It’s not bad enough they’ve ruined Canada, now they’re wrecking hockey too

I have never seen anything like this. I'm in Canada as most know. I live in a very Liberal hot bed of morons. I have never seen so many people so wrapped up in an event (a Hockey event) that is almost life or death to them. Its like it is there whole identity!!! To them Canada MUST win or else its life or death (it really is). The amount of TDS is something I cannot explain to anyone who does not live here. I am almost to the point I want the US to win....just to see these so called "smart educated people" melt down into a puddle of insanity.

@sheilawalker73 I think the biggest gap is at the youth levels, so many families can’t afford to have their kids play organized sports. Would definitely prefer our tax $$ go towards this than wasted overseas

Norway, population 5.6 million sent 80 athletes to these games, 26 medals Canada, population 42 million, sent 200+ athletes to these games, 9 medals Our athletes take out mortgage level loans to get participate, perhaps we need to fund our athletes not foreign wars and gender woo

@WntKitz @WBrettWilson @algore The thing is, the climate has been changing since the beginning of time. Not that long ago most of North America was covered in 3km thick ice. The only thing guys like Gore want to do is make money

@WBrettWilson @algore Open your eyes. Climate change is getting worse in real time and it’s obvious. We can all see it and feel it. Climate change deniers are full of bullshit.

The Trump Administration is once again trying to deny science and reality – this time, by throwing out the well-established research connecting the climate crisis to public health. While the Trump Administration can try to ignore the climate crisis, it’s painfully clear that the climate crisis will not ignore us. Last summer, the US experienced a dozen once-in-1,000-year floods in the span of just three days. In Texas, one of those flooding events killed at least 135 people, including 37 children at summer camp. The Trump Administration’s rollback of the endangerment finding is not only a direct assault on science, knowledge, and public health, it is an insult to the people across the country who are already coping with the disastrous consequences of climate-driven extreme weather events. The decision to revoke the endangerment finding is one of the more egregious examples of the Trump Administration prioritizing fossil fuel profits over American lives.

@Martyupnorth I find it funny that liberals are anti-religion, when modern liberalism is like its own new religion, where they can feel enlightened by believing in things like climate change and gender ideology while the government uses these things to steal billions of dollars

Martyupnorth®- Unacceptable Fact Checker
Troy, a Manitoban, is staunchly opposed to Alberta independence. He insists Alberta must remain in Canada, viewing separatists as ungrateful, angry "spoiled brats", going as far as labeling us all "White, Trump-supporting Christian nationalists " . He dismisses our grievances as overblown or global issues, not Ottawa-specific abuse, and argues secession shouldn't even be an option. Alberta "is not yours to take," and separatists have "no right" as a minority to break up the country. He prioritizes national unity and Canadian patriotism over economic arguments, even conceding some incentives to leave do exist but still rejecting the idea outright. He boasts about all the wonderful cultures in Canada, while simultaneously rejecting Alberta's culture. Troy delivers a master class in hypocricy. His position echoes a tyrannical mindset of forced unity. Like a despot who forbids exit regardless of mistreatment, Troy effectively says "stay or else". No referendum, no legitimate path out, no matter the perceived exploitation or desire for self-determination. Troy is the kind of person who wants to repeal Canada's divorce laws. To him, you're married for life, no matter the abuse. By his own admission, he can't articulate why we should stay. But to him, that's irrelevant. He just wants to deny us the right to leave. For him, our unhappiness is disloyalty and treasonous. To him, the country is immutable (James from @thecritcomp taught me that word last night). He prioritizes preserving the federation by compulsion over addressing root grievances, or respecting the democratic choice of millions of Albertans. That's tyranny in my book.

Ok. Shut down our pop up referendum petition signing event when it got cold(er) and darker. It was a great learning experience , we had some folks who stopped to sign, volunteer to help make the next one even better (yay!). We will not attempt this again in +40 km/hour winds. Once the wind died down the number of people coming to sign really picked up. We did get signatures which we’re happy with and will definitely do this again!

Joe Rogan sets Bernie Sanders straight on the "climate crisis". Sanders: "There are some people who think climate change is a hoax. It ain't a hoax... The last ten years have been the warmest on record." Rogan: "The Earth's temperature has never been static... It's always been up and down. There's been ice ages and heat waves... We're in a cooling period." "There's a lot of money involved in this whole climate change emergency issue, and there's a lot of control." "That's the problem. The problem is giving people that are in power... more control over citizens. And this is a vehicle for that." Credit: @joerogan

@CalgaryDave I recommend reading “the bitcoin standard”. It’s very hard to explain in one post, but there is a lot of genius in the design, creation, deflationary new and eventual finite supply. Especially in times when gvmt are running incomprehensible debts and central banks’ $$$ printing

I'm not gonna talk shit about crypto unless it actually goes to 0... But I've always told all my friends I refuse to invest because I don't understand where the value comes from. And some of them exclaimed, "THE BLOCKCHAIN" and I asked how that produces value, and they said, "well, you appreciate having a password, don't you?" And every discussion just boiled down to me not understanding where the value is. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have value. In fact, if I'm going off of my reactions- since everyone is talking about the drop, if I were an investor, I'd buy everything I could! But I'm not, and I don't think you should do that - and legal disclaimer, I'm not able to give financial advice. But when Alberta secedes, I wouldn't mind our new government creating a new crypto regulated and controlled against the province... and that, I would invest in.
