The demonstration is literally above one of the biggest public shelters in Israel, with nuclear fallout protection and ample capacity. It can be reached in a safe manner, timely. The same thing cannot be said about the prayer sites for any of the major religions in Old Jerusalem.

I cannot overstate how significant the rescue of the second crew member from the downed F-15E is. The op denied Tehran a major propaganda victory, stripping it of leverage it could have used to shape negotiations to end to the war on its terms. Bravo to the rescuers involved.

Guterres's statements on the March 29-30 peacekeeper deaths reference them occurring "amid hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah" or "in the context of the escalating conflict," without attributing them to Hezbollah or condemning any Hezbollah action specifically. UNIFIL similarly notes "rockets and missiles from Lebanese territory" violating Resolution 1701 and condemns attacks on peacekeepers in general terms (as violations of international law), but never singles out Hezbollah for the 165 rockets near posts or the April 3 wounding at their Odaisseh base. No statements from UN or UNIFIL_ condemn Hezbollah attacks alone.

When people say the UN is biased, they mean this. There is absolutely ZERO condemnation from the UN and its partner organizations towards over 165 rockets fired by Hezbollah into them. As recent as last Friday, 3 UN peacekeepers were severely wounded, and neither @antonioguterres, or @UN, or @UNIFIL_ have said anything about it alone. Every time they condemn Hezbollah, it must have Israel in it, or with it, but never alone or done in the same way. It’s not nitpicking, it’s just facts: they do not call out anything done by terrorist militias, despite how much less repercussion would it cause, taking into account that they are non state actors.
