Lamine Yamal with another example of winning the “duel before the duel.” He reads Burn expecting the run in behind (no pressure on the ball), so he fakes it with a sidestep to create more separation. Ball manipulation after is another topic.
Fathalli@FathalliMo

Off-Ball Movement is Your 12th Player. Barcelona, Bayern, PSG have all answered the “How to beat the current m2m meta?” question in this last CL round. But beyond all the rotations and position swaps, it still comes down to the small battles. Win the “duel before the duel” and everything else opens up More 👇🏻 footballanalysishub.com/post/off-ball-…

The first day I saw a NAPLEX resource, my view of pharmacy as a practice broadened. As an undergraduate, I thought pharmacy was more about drug production, development, etc. Many hated the clinical/community side of the profession. Hell, I was wrong! Now this should be applicable to the other healthcare professions, and I have seen a few say that. The moment I scanned through the resources, I understood why there was a need to be as versed in clinical practice as the other aspects of pharmacy as a pharmacist. See, the medication side is broad and so crazy. Until you see and grasp the extent, you won’t understand how crazy it is. It is so extensive that even pharmacists (the supposed drug experts) haven’t finished mastering it, talk less of other healthcare professionals claiming authority over it. That is why I do say that I AM NOT EVEN DONE WITH MEDICATION MANAGEMENT. It is diagnosis, care, and laboratory things that I will now be learning. And that is exactly the problem here. Everyone wants to be the other pharmacist “by virtue of healthcare.” It runs both ways; pharmacists also drift. Nobody stays in their lane long enough to actually master it. That is why, in terms of treatment, we are not advancing in non-drug therapy. Why? Because everyone wants to be better in what they were not trained for. Guess who suffers it? The public. Here’s what’s interesting though: every healthcare professional who has genuinely engaged with their own international standard immediately carries themselves differently. Because I daresay that to even know and be knowledgeable in those things has placed you on a different level from the professionals in Nigeria. Have you ever seen a nurse who is done with NCLEX behaving like that? A medical doctor done with USMLE also? It is rare. It is only common with all HCPs across the NURTW Ibadan, WWW Ife, HTTP Kaduna. That is why when every healthcare professional starts their shenanigans here on X with regards to medications, I see how myopic they are.

No country in the world comes closer to America in terms of clear career path and progression in healthcare. From USMLE, NCLEX, NAPLEX and PANCE. The aura is different 💯.

I kind of agree. I don't we have an issue in evading even the craziest press (especially M2M) because we have statistically the best press evader from deep via both carrying and passing (Ødegaard) and maybe the best young carrier of the ball I'm central spaces (MLS) Where I agree with you is in attack. Our RW is fine (Madueke and Dowman are two of the best 1v1 dribblers and carriers in the world). It's LW that's the issue. Eze would be suited to 1v1 duelling and passing to evade M2M there but he hasn't played there often for us. Trossard, while intelligent as a dribbler, is nowhere near physically. Martinelli, while physically there, is nowhere near in dribbling. We need a hybrid of both players, ideally. As for CF, our system doesn't need a M2M killer because by the time the ball reaches the CF, teams would have already shifted back into a mid or lowblock, as they always do. CFs in Arteta's system need to have some positive mixture of being good aerially, very fast, press like hell, and able to link-up.

It's hilarious. He basically figured out where the meta was heading before anyone, then stockpiled the kinds of players necessary for that meta. He even sacrificed some better talents for harder workers because he trusted his system THAT much. If you want to press high M2M yet maintain a zonal midblock and compact lowblock, you need Total Footballers. Basically footballers that can adapt and do multiple things. They may not be the flashiest, but they are effective. Especially the defensive players, you cannot have specialists if you wanna copy Arteta's style -Hincapié is an LB, an LCB in a back 3, and an LCB in a back 4. -Calafiori is everything. -Gabriel is an LCB in a back 3 and back 4. -Saliba is a CCB, RCB, and LCB in a back 3 and 4. -Timber is a RB, LB, and RCB in a back 3 or 4. -White is a RB and RCB in a back 3 or 4. -Mosquera is a RB, RCB and LCB in a back 3 or 4. -MLS is an inverted LB, LCM and LDM. -Rice is everything. -Zubimendi is a DM, CM, and even drops back to the CCB position in-possession. Having defensive players that can adapt to/be comfortable in different out-of-possession and in-possession scenarios reduces risk, mistakes, and miscommunication. It also helps that all these profiles are great duellers, which makes them less likely to lose M2M scenarios. In attack, he just needed to get willing and capable presses who were also talented. Sometimes, he'd forego an S-tier talent with C work ethic for a B-tier talent with S-tier work ethic. Why? Because that's what suits his system best. What's really impressive is that he has reduced the gap between the first team and the rotation. So now, Arteta can bring subs/finishers without losing much quality (and any wuality lost is countered by the fresh stamina the finisher is coming with) to the pressing, duelling, and system overall. This was a system six years in the making. Other teams can't just replicate it. They don't have the depth, the culture mentality instilled over years, or the profiles.

Maduka University Enugu Celebrates Igbo Cultural Day The campus of Maduka University in Ekwegbe, Nsukka came alive in a colourful celebration of heritage and learning as the institution hosted the third annual exhibition for its Language of the Immediate Environment (LIE) course. The event transformed the university grounds into a vibrant display of culture, where tradition, creativity, and academic excellence intersected. Far more than a cultural showcase, the ‘LIE’ Culture Day served as a practical academic assessment, giving students the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of Igbo traditions, values, and ancestral practices. Through performances, exhibitions, and culinary presentations, students brought to life the cultural knowledge they had studied in the classroom. Leading the celebration was the Chancellor of the university, Dr Samuel Maduka Onyishi, who joined members of the university community to witness the students’ remarkable presentations. Declaring the event open, he highlighted the importance of cultural identity in shaping national development. Drawing from his experiences during visits to China, the Chancellor noted how nations that deeply value their cultural heritage often find it easier to drive innovation and technological advancement. “Culture offers less complexity,” he remarked. “No culture is superior to another; what matters is the value and respect we place on our own.” The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ogbulogo, echoed this perspective, stressing that cultural awareness is essential in preparing students for leadership in a globalised world. According to him, understanding and appreciating diverse cultures helps to counter ethnocentrism and nurtures graduates who are thoughtful, inclusive, and globally minded. Under the guidance of the course lecturer, Mrs. Juliet Owen-Hampo, students went beyond theoretical learning to immerse themselves fully in cultural expression. The university grounds were adorned with traditional artefacts and cultural symbols, creating an atmosphere that reflected the richness of Igbo heritage. One of the most engaging highlights of the event was the Culinary Exhibition, where student groups prepared a variety of traditional dishes that were carefully assessed by a panel of judges. The display celebrated indigenous food culture and demonstrated the students’ creativity and teamwork. The celebration also featured The Arts of Heritage, a lively segment that included traditional dance performances, language quizzes designed to test fluency and cultural knowledge, and a colourful cultural fashion parade that showcased the elegance and symbolism of traditional attire. Another memorable aspect of the event was The Core of Tradition, where students staged reenactments of traditional coronation processes alongside captivating masquerade displays, reflecting the ceremonial heritage of the Igbo people. The excitement reached its peak when Group A emerged as the overall winner of the exhibition. The group also produced the newly crowned King and Queen of ‘LIE’, marking a triumphant conclusion to a day filled with learning, creativity, and celebration. Beyond the festivities, the third ‘LIE’ Culture Day reaffirmed the university’s commitment to holistic education. At Maduka University, learning extends beyond textbooks to include cultural awareness, identity formation, and the values that shape responsible citizenship. Celebrating culture while nurturing intellectual growth, the university continues to demonstrate that education is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about preserving heritage, building community, and preparing future leaders for a globally connected world. As a forward-thinking institution rooted in excellence, Maduka University, located in Enugu State, Nigeria, is fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), reinforcing its credibility and commitment to delivering quality, globally relevant education.

Lamine Yamal’s reaction says it all after his mistake in the build-up to Newcastle’s second goal… 😞 The 18-year-old tried a risky backheel in the wrong area, and it ended up costing his team. ⚠️ A rare moment where the No.10 got it wrong. And you fully expect him to put it right in the second half. 🎭

Our prediction today will be same as yesterday. I am keeping it simple. Winner gets £15. You have to predict at least one goalscorer in each of these games. Just one goalscorer each. Barcelona v Newcastle Liverpool v Galatasaray Tottenham v Atletico Madrid As usual, If you win, and you don't want the money, you can ask me to give someone else that you choose. Let’s just have fun. It’s not worth cheating, no usage of burner accounts or multiple predictions please, not worth it. I saw people predicting multiple times yesterday, I just simply disqualified them because it’s not worth it. This is for fun purposes, no need to cheat.

I just read a disturbing report that repentant bandits killed 18 members of a vigilante group during an encounter in Jibia Local Government of Katsina. This reinforces the genuine concern that many who claim repentance do so only as an opportunity to evade justice.

VDM has visited the sites in Maiduguri, and also the victims at the hospital. You know what's crazy, he went to a spot where their were still body parts lying in a sack. You need to even see the state of the hospital. Guys we don't have a government o. Nigeria does not start and end in Lagos o, the state of these places are so bad.

I told my guy that Twitter is the only ‘media’ these guys haven’t taken over completely. During GEJ’s era, CNN and Al Jazeera would have been all over news of the multiple suicide bombings.

This man was up till God knows how long, cos we left him by past 1am and he still had meetings with other people. Yet, he had the strength to get on a 7am flight today. Nigeria has gone through a lot, and what we need right now is someone with the mental and physical strength, to put in the work day and night to fix things. We shouldn’t miss out on someone like Peter Obi as a country. Register with the ADC here: adcregistration.ng so you can vote in the upcoming primaries.
