@zdch It really is incredible the level to which the war with Iran is a dumb move, not just from a geopolitical power perspective but (hopefully) a political one too. The R's should get wiped TF out this fall. Anything less than that and our Republic fails to be responsive.

Nothing makes less sense to me than the current ‘consensus’ in some forms of the policy world that Obama’s Iran strategy was a failure that demanded a pivot. No it wasn’t and no it didn’t. The desired outcome was the state of play.

Yeah turns out if you build a big computer that doesn't require many people to operate, it's going to cost a lot relative to how many jobs it creates, but it can benefit the area via tax revenue. This metric is about as meaningful as saying a bridge doesn't create many jobs relative to how much it costs to build.
