I am surprised AI is not mentioned in this article, but maybe it's in the making.. I recently answered to a Springer Nature survey on the use of AI in reviewing... What this article hints to though is that the review system we have been using is quite outdated.

@d_giovannelli Very interesting work :) Metal sequestration and scavenging seems to be so key... it's also a fascinating part of inflammatory processes, where the body actively tries to starve bacteria of metals with "immunity chelators". Anyway, curious to read more of your work!
