Periodic reminder: It doesn’t matter how loyal you are. The second you disagree with Trump on anything, he’ll turn on you and most of his base will blindly follow. This is why the GOP never speaks out. They all hate him, but they’re terrified of his social media accounts.

Trump just posted there are "reports" Iran is charging fees to tankers going through the Strait of Hormuz and threatens Iran to stop. Two days ago, Trump said the U.S. had had a "total and complete victory" over Iran. It's unclear why Trump cites "reports" and not actual intel.

He literally said *yesterday* that he was considering a “joint venture” to help Iran charge people for using the Strait. He said the day before that he didn’t care if they made a little money off of it.

Signal to noise: as of this morning there is no change in the Strait of Hormuz—ships pass only with Iran’s consent—and Iran is shooting missiles at UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Whatever is being said, this is what’s happening.

The fact remains that this morning, Donald Trump threatened genocide. His party did nothing to push back. A two-week delay doesn't change either of those things.
