@SnaderTL @SickoftheC @GasBuddyGuy Inflation under Biden began at 1.4% in January 2021, surged to 9.1% in June 2022 due to global supply constraints and increased consumer demand, and steadily cooled to around 3.0% by the end of his term. So no, not all 4 years of his term. As of today inflation is 3.8% under 🤡.

they sure are- records amounts of oil and refined products left U.S. shores in the last week, and we'll likely set another record this week. U.S. gasoline inventories are already at multi-year seasonal lows- which means prices will face even more upward pressure
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

Trump on high gas prices for Americans: "What's happening is people are learning to buy oil from the United States. They're making the trip. Oil is at $102. That's a very small price to pay for getting rid of a nuclear weapon from people that are really mentally deranged."

@SnaderTL @SickoftheC @GasBuddyGuy The Green New Deal never became law. Biden invested heaily in similar climate & green energy initiatives, mainly through the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. He didn't "print a shit ton of money." He added to the debt, much like trump's doing now.

@SeanTrende That's a fair point on CA. I guess I was limiting my universe to the current season, where we have Callais, Callais order last week, Alabama order today, and then what I expect will be denial of Democratic appeals from VA and FL Supreme Courts.

@SnaderTL @SickoftheC @GasBuddyGuy When President Biden left office the inflation rate was approximately 3%. As of right now, under the 🤡, inflation is sitting at approximately 3.58%. Everything 🤡 touches dies.

@SnaderTL @PetroniusTruth @GasBuddyGuy Yes. Back in 2022 when there was a worldwide supply chain issue after we came out of Covid. Plus Russia invading Ukraine. Thanks for the history lesson. How about NOW? We live in the NOW.

And no, I don't believe Massie wants endless swarms of illegals coming in unchecked, but he also is not interested in funding what it takes to stop it.

Trump is absolutely horrible on several issues. Massie is absolutely horrible on several separate issues. If you can't acknowledge that, you're a cultist.

@SnaderTL @SickoftheC @GasBuddyGuy Sorry that you were unable to understand it. Read it again, but this time more slowly. And quit blaming Biden for every fucked up move your cult leader makes. The only reason gas prices are high (and groceries & shipping, etc) is because 🤡 foolishly started an unnecessary war.

Reporter: “The war has pushed prices up, it could go as high as $200 a barrel some analysts think. How long is it fair to expect American drivers & drivers around the World to pay that premium for this war”? Biden: “As long as it takes”.

gas prices are driven primarily by crude oil prices, refining capacity, global supply disruptions, seasonal demand, and geopolitics- not a lack of fuel choices at the pump. alternative fuels can play a role, but suggesting EPA barriers are the main reason prices are high vastly overstates their impact. this will save motorists maybe a few cents.
Rand Paul@RandPaul

Gas prices are high because Washington has spent years restricting your choices at the pump. My Fuel Choice and Deregulation Act tears down the EPA barriers blocking alternative fuels, opens the market to real competition, and puts energy freedom back in the hands of American drivers, not bureaucrats.

@SnaderTL @GasBuddyGuy Did he release oil, yes. Did he “drain” it, no. Also, majority of the release was congressionally mandated by HRs he didn’t even sign into law. Can I ask you a question now?

@SnaderTL @williamnielse12 @GasBuddyGuy This is a flat-out lie. Congress did nothing to stop Trump from re-filling the SPR. In fact he did re-fill a little bit of it but in his stupidity he decided to bomb Iran before he completely re-filled it.

@SnaderTL @SickoftheC @GasBuddyGuy President doesn’t need congressional approval to buy oil for the SPR so long as they haven’t spent to $$$ from previous sales, which Trump did.

@SnaderTL @GasBuddyGuy California is a long, long way from most refineries and it has special fuel requirements to combat pollution, so yeah it is more expensive there.
