To ensure foreigners don't compete with locals for affordable housing, the minimum purchase prices are set high: 🔹 Silver Tier: Min RM 600,000 🔹 Gold Tier: Min RM 1,000,000 🔹 Platinum Tier: Min RM 2,000,000 Crucially, State Laws often set even higher floors (e.g., RM 2M in parts of Selangor) to shield the M40 and B40 housing segments. For example: 🔵Selangor: The minimum for foreigners is generally RM 2 million, and you are typically restricted to high-rise (strata) titles. 🔵Kuala Lumpur: The minimum is generally RM 1 million. 🔵Penang Island: Can be as high as RM 3 million for landed properties to protect local housing stock.
